On Sunday, July 30 my wife gave me a 80th birthday party. I among many of my friends and family were very impressed by the service rendered by Michael and the servers Kathleen and Anna ( I believe that was their names). Their service was outstanding and the food was terrific . Hats off to Michael the manager for he at times check with us on how things were going. I’ve been there many a times with my wife and never have we been disappointed as to the service and food presentation. Everything was exceptional and made my birthday a most memorable occasion

It had been sometime since Tom and I were at Fratello‘s because we had a not great experience bringing guests, but everybody has a bad day I guess. Last night was our seven year anniversary of when we met at Fratello’s and went back for dinner to celebrate, I have to say it was just fabulous from the food to the service to the atmosphere. Our server was great and I was happy to see my old friend Reggie there, so thank you so much for a nice evening.

Our server Michele was a wonderful server. She had a lot of patience with us and explained everything we asked about. Great first dining experience here. And since we are local we will return frequently. The chef is amazing !!!. THE OYSTERS GRATINEE WERE SUPERB!!

We went last minute on a Saturday night in April. Thrilled that we got a table for 5. The drinks were terrible. Sent back one. Dinner was over 3 hours long because the staff couldn’t handle the guests. The food was terrible. I was so disappointed. Restaurants at the jersey shore are moderate if best but I rather stay home and save the money. Don’t waste your time or money.

Unbelievably amazing, the pasta fagioli was like grandma used to make, the seafood was flavorful and delicious. Huge servings, no way you are finishing it all in one sitting. Quick with the service, my cups were never empty. The place feels like a real Italian home, like in saturnia Italy. Over all would def recommend.

Walked in and the place was so dim and unwelcoming, and even with the 90 degree weather outside, it was still somehow cooler out there than in the restaurant. The volume of the live music performer was turned so loud, I couldn’t hear the person across from me speaking. No problems with the wait staff, very friendly. Food was incredibly bland and unimpressive for the price. Lasagna and eggplant parm were burnt, sauce tasted jarred. Filet mignon just tasted like charcoal, no seasoning. The potato croquettes tasted like they’d been sitting and drying out under a heat lamp overnight, vegetables didn’t even have salt on them. Really disappointing

Old School Local Spot from the minute you walk in the door. We like to go for a late lunch around 3:00 to be finished just before dinner time to avoid any crowds and we hit the timing perfect yesterday. We went straight to the bar and met Joe the bartender. He has been here for 28 years and from the moment we met him we were hooked. He knows the menus inside and out and knew every person who walked through the door by name. By the time we left, we felt we knew him forever too! Just the nicest man and represented the establishment so well. Spoke with several servers as they came in to work the dinner shift and although we did not get everyone’s name, they were all very welcoming to us. You could tell many employee’s have been there a long time. They offer an array of early specials and we were so impressed that it was not just well drinks. Rich ordered a bottle of his favorite wine and it was also included at a discount, no other places do this from our experience. Food wise we had the Thai calamari, recommended by Joe. Just delicious, we started eating it before we took a picture so just know the plate was larger before we took the pic! We loved that it was dusted in flour but not breading on top of it. Really let the taste of the Thai chili sauce enrobe the calamari. For entree’s I had shrimp francese and the shrimp were very generous as they were very large and cooked perfectly. Only thing I would say is I would prefer more sauce since I had it over angel hair pasta and next time I will just ask for it more “saucy”. Rich wanted Veal Milanese, (not on the menu) however the bartender who took over from Joe’s shift Brad, asked the chef and because it was still not too busy the chef said he would make it. Another excellent nod to a local place who will accommodate when the crowd size allows. Rich loved the dish, he had broccoli rabe on the side extra spicy. The chef added the arugula and “muzz”, balsamic drizzle etc. it was perfectly presented. Brad, our second bartender of the day was also just as welcoming, very friendly, made suggestions and took great care of us. We met the Manager, Mike who gave us a little background for Fratello’s and we promised him and everyone we had interacted with that we would be back very soon. We commented to him how wonderful we thought everyone we interacted with had been. It will clearly be one of our go to spots going forward. We cannot believe we had not been here before now. Terrific experience, fantastic selection of food, all nicely prepared and presented and the staff is superb. Loved the whole experience from start to finish.

This place has okay service but it does not make up for the awful food. It’s unseasoned and will make you gag, I’ve honestly never been to a restaurant so awful before. I had no idea there even were restaurants so genuinely bad. I have no idea how this place is still in business.
