charge nine dollars for a side order of noodles when I ordered the noodle dinner!!!! cook forgot to put teriyaki sauce or any seasoning on my food. After calling I was told some cooks prepare the food differently. Wasted $50 so I could fix my own food

My first experience here was not a good one. The chicken was extremely overcooked/charred and the rice was loaded with soy sauce and hard. The portion was extremely small. The was excellent but I didn’t pay 15 bucks for a very small salad. This food was not good at all……

Tonight was the worst experience we ever had. We’ve been coming here for years and always felt like family with the previous owners. We would come almost every week and ALWAYS got welcomed with a friendly face. Since the new owners have taken over we maybe come once a month if that. When we do come to this restaurant the ladies at the front always have an attitude and something always gets messed up with our order. Tonight was the last straw for my family and I, first we get seated at a table that was dirty then the lady was rude taking our drink orders next we requested for their to be no seeds in the rice due to the fact my daughter chokes on them but when the cook started cooking he put seeds all over the rice. When we spoke up and said something the cook apologized and stated he would cook some in the back for us but proceeded to give my family and I the rice (except my daughter). When the server asked us if we wanted a refill on our drinks, my kids replied back yes but instead of asking them to take their straws out of the cups like a normal restaurants she took the cups and placed them under the fountain machine at which the straws touched the machine so I requested for new straws. The server came back with two open straws at which she was holding with no gloves or anything. This place is so very picky on the portions they give you even though you pay a ridiculous amount of money for the meals. Don’t even bother requesting for an extra side of veggies or meat because you will still get the same amount as you would with your normal order. There’s absolutely no entertainment anymore they just come out cook your meal and leave. Most of the time the cooks don’t know what they are doing. We miss the old owners and wish they never left. We most likely will never return back. Save your money and stress and go somewhere else.

This place was a staple in winter haven as a must-eat place with good food. Not anymore. The food quality has dropped tremendously. Scallops were clearly old and the taste reflected that. They cover the poor quality and old rice by drowning it in soy sauce. Zucchinis were well cooked, but were also drowned in soy sauce. The one thing i did enjoy was the Philadelphia roll i had, which was delicious.

Our last 2 experiences here have been the worst!!! After our first bad experience, a party of 10 were at a table and the owner wanted to put us at the table with them. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable because they are a family would I’m sure would like to enjoy their meal alone, we would barely fit at the table anyways. Putting us there would not be practicing social distance either. She kept trying to convince but I eventually just walked out. So thinking things would be better by ordering online to go, hahaha was I mistaken!!! Tonight I order on menufy and my husband got there to pick up the food at 740 as stated it would be ready at that time, I order at 7pm, we’ll it wasn’t ready and the girl told him it didn’t show up. That now the food would be ready in 20 minutes, well it wasn’t. He didn’t leave there until 830pm! This place has gone to the dumps. I called them and asked for my money back and the manager. Said all he could do is give us credit for one meal for a future visit! Like who wants to go back after all that!!!!!!! I want my money back! I used to enjoy eating there but I will not go there again!

I have family visiting from Germany who wanted a Japanese steakhouse experience. Having eaten at Osaka in the past I thought it would be a good choice. Google listing showed them still in business, I tried calling to make a reservation, phone would either ring busy or no answer. No indication given on their website the Winter Haven location is closed. Only after arriving did we realize they are closed. There is a sign on the door stating location closed, please go to auburndale location. Luckily for us, Sakuras is right across the street, went there and had a most wonderful dining experience.

I was very disappointed. From the beginning they almost sat a party of the same size who came in after us ahead of us. Drink order didn’t come out correct and server gave me an attitude when I asked about the two missing drinks. Food order didn’t come out correct. Had multiple kids with us who we’re splitting adult meals (chicken and shrimp combo, one kid shrimp one kid chicken) and they just gave each one of use shrimp and then either chicken or steak. I had to then take the meats off the kids plates and give them the correct one. No apologies given, just made me feel like I was being extra. We went for my daughter’s 8th birthday hoping they do some kind of entertainment whiling cooking like the chefs at Sakura do but no. The food was cooked in less than five minutes and served. I spent $145 to be disappointed. The food was good but the service was not. We felt rushed out, they started bringing boxes while we still had kids eating. The sushi was falling apart a little but it tasted good. I always tip 20% but I couldn’t this time.

Fun place, great food! I gave it a 4 star as my husband said the lobby floor was sticky on his shoes and that when we were seated, he looked up and saw grease dripping down from the ceiling onto the grill. I didn’t notice either of these things because I was just enjoying the experience.
