We started out with their salsa flight and elote. The variety of flavors and spice in the flight were a great way to get our taste buds in gear for the next two courses. It was served with actual crisped tortillas instead of the triangle chips most Mexican restaurants are accustomed to. Having our elote prepared using a traditional tableside technique was a nice touch. The wife chose street tacos, one shrimp and one chicken, and was very happy with the flavor combinations contained in corn tortillas and presented with our favorite salsa from the flight. My carne asada plate was served with a delicious sweet tamal and papa’s bravas as a side. My steak was of higher quality and more tender than comparable Mexican eateries. The pièce de résistance, Sazon’s sopapilla sundae, can best be described as churro flavored puff pastries and vanilla ice cream, drizzled in a berry chambord sauce. We had fun stuffing the hollow pastries with ice cream. Our sweet tooth was satisfied, and then some. The only downside was the fact they were in the middle of remodeling, and the reception as we entered the restaurant was chilly at best. I will say the waitress was great and clearly had a great grasp of the menu, ingredients, and history of each dish. Overall, it was a much better Mexican restaurant than many others at a comparable price in Colorado. Plus, they provide a uniqueness that makes your visit a good experience.

Cotija rice was amazing. Everything was delicious. Hubby got the Rellana VeraCruz which was beautiful as well as delicious. I tried the Lobster Rajas taco and the Vampiro taco. Drinks were perfect. Highly recommend the Watermelon mojito.

Delicious! The food was so flavorful and perfectly spicy. I tried a few small things to get a taste of everything and I wanted more lol. My only complaint was there was only 1 server working so things moved a bit slow at the beginning. I think they could use another server during dinner. Otherwise I highly suggest giving this place a shot.

OMG the food was absolutely excellent. The calamari appetizer was so tender I didn’t even use a knife. I had the Baja enchiladas absolutely magnificent.we had the sopailla desert great price $6.00 and delicious.
