A really amazing tasting menu. The freshest oysters I’ve had in Michigan. The little beet marinated trout sandwiches were my favorite, just perfect. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Very small place, make reservations!

I’ve been trying to eat at Mink for a while, but it’s been too full.

Ordered a few oysters a la carte and they were genuinely the best we’ve had. Comparing to some high-end places in the Seattle area. And the desserts are fantastic as well!

Mink was hands down one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had in Detroit. It was cozy, modern and exceptional. The kind of place where everyone in the restaurant is in on the fun. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. The couple two tables over was celebrating theirs too. Another — their birthday. And another still, just alone and enjoying the ambience. Everyone was smiling and enjoying such a fantastic spread of oysters, chef’s picks, sake’s, cocktails and more. Plus — at the end of the night, the staff gifted us with a free dessert for our special day. Reminded us of a night in San Fran or NYC. Only maybe a bit better.

This small quaint seafood restaurant was a delight. It’s in They offer different tastings of unique seafood combinations. Your plate comes to you beautifully created which made me want to try everything. If you want your palate to be pleasantly surprised give them a try. This was my first time trying some of the foods within my courses, like squid. The service was great. The waitress was knowledgeable and atmosphere perfect for a group or couple to enjoy their experience. Parking was readily available which was great being it’s winter here in Detroit. Would definitely go back for new surprise Bc they change their menu every 3 weeks. They do add a 20% gratuity no matter the party size but that’s stated on their site so it was no surprise. They earn it…

Such a great tasting menu with top notch service. We loved the added touch of toasting our anniversary with a complimentary glass of bubbles when our server asked if we were there for a special occasion. We will definitely go back again.

Love mink! Intimate interior dining (bar seats are great, esp if you enjoy seeing the kitchen in action) as well as a few patio tables to enjoy the summer weather. Amazing oysters and unique twists on some classic seafood dishes. Love the sake offerings as well. Latest visit was for a nice happy hour outside!

Easily one of Detroit’s best restaurants. Small footprint, with an incredible rotating pre-fixe menu. Beautifully designed interior with a down-to-earth crew who welcomes you the moment you enter.

The absolute best food I’ve ever had! I still think about it to this day. We did a tasting menu with sake pairings and it was absolutely delightful. We will be going back for sure.
