The service was OK. Our server seemed a new employee, the timing was too slow for me. She was nice but didn’t explain enough about how things work, especially for nice dining experience. The tacos were too salty, and the meat was dry. The quality and quantity for the tacos was too pricey.

First time here! They’ve only officially been open for 4 days so I think their service and food was excellent for their first week figuring it out. The server could not have been more accommodating or kinder. We had several appetizers for the table. The papaya salad and fried cauliflower were amazing. Everyone loved the drinks; flightless bird, margarita, and mojito were favorites. We tried the steak taco, lamb taco, and the shrimp. All were great, the lamb was a little overcooked but it was still very tasty. Sweet potato fries were a huge hit. The two unisex single stall bathrooms were decorated very nicely, super fun! The only issue was the atmosphere, the tables were very crowded together so that the servers had a hard time getting around. Also it was so loud in there, they definitely needs some kind of noise dampening material to keep the volume reasonable. The restaurant is so cute and eclectic that it’s a shame that the noise level is so high. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to come back!

Trendy Latin-fusion restaurant in the heart of East Walnut Hills. The ceviche was the shining dish of the night. The scarlet ibis taco was a bit too dry and sauce heavy. I appreciated the unique ingredients and flavors Solstice incorporated.

Thursday night we decided to support Solstice restaurant that was recently opened by Anjou Cocktail Bar on Woodburn. We love to support restaurants and shops in our neighborhood. We ordered drinks and two appetizers. The sound level was so bad that the servers where talking so loud. The tables were so close together that the servers had to maneuver very carefully. The two appetizers we ordered was sweet potato fries and tempeh lettuce wrap. Both dishes were over salted. Terribly disappointed.

We had an excellent time at dinner last night! The tacos were extremely good. The freshly made tortillas really made a world of difference. Our table had to get a second round of tacos they were so good (IMO better than Bakersfield and Nada). The ceviche was great. The pork belly could use a bit of love but wasn’t bad. I would probably skip next time. The service from Bear was amazing; Attentive and friendly! The seating seemed a bit tight so I may suggest spacing the tables out, and possibly removing the table right when you walk in the door; No one would want to sit there.. if it’s a nice night out, id almost recommend a portable host stand that can go outside. It seemed way too cramped when you first walked in. Great new spot, please keep up the level of quality!

I still don’t quite know how to categorize what kind of food this place has, but what I do know is that it legit is full of flavor. I’ve never had a taco filled with chickpeas be so delicious that I’m already thinking of going back here sometime soon. The flavors are rich and deep, and salted well overall.

A great dining experience, overall! The food was incredibly flavorful. Service was very on top of things. The drinks were delicious (as to be expected). Taco pricing is a touch on the higher side, but consistent with other niche taco places (i.e Bakersfield, Agave and Rye, etc). Comparatively, these tacos were head and shoulders better. I would highly recommend. Some other reviews have pointed towards awkward acoustics in the building, but I don’t think it impacted conversations at the table.

Service was phenomenal, food and drinks were delicious and unique. Others mention that it’s loud, but this is really just because of all the patrons when it gets busy, not because of music or anything else. We will definitely be coming back!

We had the most amazing evening last night! Not only was the food amazing, the drinks were great and lived up to how great Anjou’s drinks are, too. On top of this, at the end of the night I misplaced my phone somewhere in the restaurant – the wait staff and owner went above and beyond and spent 15 mins helping us search the restaurant for it and find it. They were amazing! Great service , great food!!! Highly recommend. We will be back!
