My friend and I had a great brunch experience at 51Fifteen. The service was attentive and very friendly, and our meal was good. My friend had a steak and eggs, and I have a shrimp avocado toast. For the starter course, my friend enjoyed her salmon carpaccio, and I really liked my seafood soup although the serving was super tiny, like the size of a small teacup. For dessert, my friend thought her crepe was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his bread pudding. My pineapple mojito mocktail was THE BEST. We love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The windows provide so much bright, natural light, and it was a simple and elegant setting. We would like to return to visit the bar, and this seems like a great place to host a private party in one of the back rooms which were occupied when we were there. For reference, the restaurant is on the second floor of Saks Fifth Avenue.

I’ve been here a few times, it has great food and a beautiful and bright atmosphere. The booths are comfy and they will seat you in them even for small parties. The only reason I’m putting 4 stars is because during one visit, my friend’s son was whining a bit. The pianist came over – I thought he was going to try to cheer the boy up – but he actually was complaining and not nice. He said “Why don’t you take him for a walk so that he will stop crying?” And had a stern look on his face. I understand he was maybe bothered because he was playing the piano near us, but then why seat us next to the piano player when you see we have children in our party? As a single mother, my friend was very hurt. We communicated this to the server, but nothing was done whatsoever to address it.
