Had a few drinks on the back patio, which was very nice. The service was excellent and the staff was very attentive to our group. We did not have food, but it did look and smell delicious.

We had the Cafe Style Hot Beef Waffle, the Uptown Farmhouse Breakfast Waffle, and Elderflower Mimosas for brunch yesterday. Everything was delicious, and the staff was great. The restaurant also has this neat little room that you have to check out, where you can sample fresh balsamics and olive oils. The peach balsamic is amazing!

Absolutely 5 stars for the Pheasant! If you want local, Brookings local, South Dakota food fare and atmosphere, here is your place. Unique to the area dishes, like a Bison filet or chislic. The service was outstanding and we had a sweetheart of a gal for a server. She asked what our occasion was(anniversary) and she treated us for a choice of dessert. Local, delicious, Brookings past and present, are all things that describe the Pheasant!
