Came to this OG Jack Stack location for KC Restaurant week and was not disappointed. Clean bathrooms and well-decorated interior with fireplace. Our waiter was nice and provided good service. For example, he brought us bread for free after we asked.

First time eating KC BBQ. I found the burnt ends a little on the tough/dry side but I had nothing really to compare since this was my first try. The Prime Rib and brisket were particularly good and highly recommended. Jessica was our server/bartender and was awesome.

Yum!! Soo many choices! We went for crown prime beef rib and lamb ribs, traded fries for the hickory pit beans, delicious ending with carrot cake. The BBQ sauces were great. Our server, Zakeyus, was the best! Reservations recommended.

All I can say is WOW. Excellent food at a fare price. As foodies, Our son recommended Jack Stack barbecue in K.C. to us. Location, Ambiance and great service complimented and accompanied our meal. When you visit ask for our waitress Danielle or just say hello to the Manager Lydia.

We stopped in here before heading to the Billy Joel concert around 4:30 last Saturday. It wasn’t too busy, we were trying to beat the rush. Our server, Darius, was incredible. He knew everything about the menu and about the history of the restaurant. We are from Idaho and made a family vacation out of returning my brother to college. I had the Blackberry Salmon and it was cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious. We also had the Jalapeño Cornbread appetizer which was the best cornbread we’ve ever had! This was hands down the best food and service we had during our stay in KC. Thank you Darius!

So much for ambiance. With this remodel, the lights are way to bright for an evening meal, the aroma of smoked meats and barbecue is gone, and waiters vacuum for at least 30 minutes while your out of town guests are dining. They are out of barbecue chicken and pulled pork, are we sure this is still a barbecue restaurant??? The only signs of barbecue are baked beans and tiny barbecue sauce servings. We used to get actual small bowels of barbecue sauce. They brought the food out for a party of eight with only three meals at a time with a hard 5 to 7 minutes between each set they brought out, only plus is they brought the kids meals out first. I ordered the KC Classic for 4 and it was amazing!! I was worried about the amount of food, would it be enough, and it was. 🙂 And the carrot cakecups……AMAZING. Lets talk about the pickup area. As soon as I pulled up someone was walking to my car. 10 out of 10 WOULD recommend. Good service and good food.
