Reservations are a must! This is quite the cute cozy dinner spot. The food was outstanding and the drinks were very good. Right off the bat our server recommended 2-4 dishes per person. Serving sizes are small and everything is shareable if you wish. We tried the sweet potato and the mushroom dish which were great. The steam buns melted in your mouth! The pork was so juicy and tender and the fried chicken was delicious. It is on the pricier side but worth it and the experience. We had amazing, friendly and quick service.

We celebrated our anniversary, and they treated us to champagne. That set the tone for a great meal and experience. The server was fantastic and knew the menu well. She guided us on what she would send out at the same time. Delicious veggies (green bean and carrot dishes) and the crispy chicken streamed buns were a hit. The pancake was my personal favorite. Would definitely drive the 4 hours for it again!

The food here was amazing! Such a pleasant surprise. Went in with zero expectations. And wow. Just wow. The yuzu custard was so well balanced. The ribs were delicious and the buns were on the right side of okay. Highly recommend. And you need reservations. We walked in and while not a super long wait (30mins) it wasn’t guaranteed.

I went here for restaurant week and was really happy they were able to make a vegan version of all of the dishes. Each course was very unique – unlike any other vegan options in the area. I found myself wishing the portions were a bit bigger, but I suppose that’s normal for this type of restaurant. Not sure what kind of vegan options they have available on their regular menu, so I’ll have to stop back.

We ordered the chefs tasting menu, steamed buns, the featured drink, the curry leaf, and the wine pairing. Most of the food was really good, critiques here and there, but nothing worth mentioning. The featured drink was fantastic, but the curry leaf was one of the worst drinks I’ve ever tasted. It was very reminiscent of fenugreek tea, down to the colour. The wine pairings were fine. They went okay with the food, but nothing remarkable. I can’t figure out if they are going for fine dining or not. The staff is great and friendly, but not trained for fine dining. That’s not on them, of course, but there are a lot of conflicting goals that this place is trying to hit. It feels like it’s going in different directions at the same time, so it pulls the quality of it down.

Our server was well-informed about the menu and went out of her way to help with questions related to food sensitivities. The dishes were beautiful and so flavorful.
