This is a great place right next to Madaket beach. Lots of outdoor seating but some good views from the second floor windows as well. Menu at lunch is southwestern style, lots of quesidillas and tacos. Also pretty good cocktail menu. Was there for lunch but have also been there for evening sunset.

2023 update: restaurant do quick flips – sit eat next . Food this season of 2023 tasted better than than last year. Definitely some delicious options. Staff is friendly and moves fast. Millie’s is a necessary stop for anyone visiting the island. The food is delicious, and the ocean view can’t be beat! It’s lively and bustling and the servers are phenomenal. Before you leave, take time to see some of the framed portraits of Millie herself to appreciate the deep wealth of history and culture that makes Nantucket so special. (Finally, don’t forget to stop for ice cream right next door after your meal!)

The girl running the takeout window (Ruth) was very friendly and accommodating to all of our requests! The food as usual was amazing – we can’t wait to come back next year!

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Millie’s yesterday before we took some pictures at the beach, it was our last day on the island. We arrived at Millie’s around 1:30 and waited at hostess stand outside. The hostess helped a family before us and then walked away without a word to us. We waited so long that the woman behind us went inside and we heard someone tell her, “no you need to see the hostess outside to be seated” the hostess returned a few moments later. She barely made eye contact with us before she asked how many. We asked for a table for two, she took our number and a name and that’s it. So we looked at her and asked about how long it would be she said “I don’t know 15 minutes maybe but you can sit up there and order at the bar if you want.” SO RUDE. She was young, maybe late teens? but the hostess is the patrons first experience with a restaurant and we were already off to a terrible start. We were confused by the comment so we made our way to an outside deck and found a free table. My boyfriend went inside to try and order at the bar where there was only one bartender. Took him about 15 min to order. The food came out quickly and was very good. Some what expensive but most of the food on the island is. That was the ONLY redeeming quality about this place, the food. The entire staff seemed miserable and it was only early afternoon! We even saw a table of 4 sat near us who ended up leaving after 15 minutes because their waitress never greeted them. I went to use the restroom and it was trashed. Disgusting. Paper towels every where and even a sanitary napkin on the ground. Maybe get take out? But wouldn’t recommend dining in there.
