We did the cooking demonstration at Zero George and had a wonderful experience. Chef Vinson Petrillo is clearly passionate about food and creating an experience for guests. We really enjoyed watching his craft and most importantly the food was delicious. My only critique is that the portions were small and there were not ‘wine pairings’ you were just handed a bottle of wine. Other than that one very small critique we cannot wait to return to try the full course tasting menu at Zero George.

This joint is one of a kind! My wife and I celebrated our 20 yr anniversary with the team at Zero. It started with me falling off the bar stool, no fault of Zero, I own that moment, ha. Kathy was amazing and gracious and promptly seated us at our outside table.

We did the tasting menu and wine pairing (plus the caviar and wagyu add on). It started off fabulous! We really enjoyed the starters. The fish dishes (which there were a few of) all fell flat with us. Neither of us fully finished them. One of us tried the duck the other the wagyu. The wagyu was great the duck was not so great. The caviar bump was wonderful and we were glad we did that add on! The service was fabulous and presentation was as well! But, for the price we expect the food to be on par. If we go back we will try the caviar bar instead. I included pictures of a few of our favorite starters.

The ambiance is superb and my dinner was one of the best meals I have had. Sophisticated and chic with elegance of historical Charleston as the backdrop. The night I went was a set menu with drinks or mock tails. Believe me the mock tails were in some cases better than the set alcohol drinks. The executive chef is a master of his craft & I wish I lived closer so I could experience the food more often.

What an experience and palate celebration! Every bite was excellent not only in terms of taste but also visually. The server asked which one was my favorite but I simply couldn’t pick one because there was so much heavenly food. The tuna tartare cigar was definitely one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. The atmosphere, service, and overall experience were outstanding.

If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would! The entire experience was incredible. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a host who kindly brought us to our table and the superior service continued through the whole dinner. Every waiter/ host was sweet and attentive. Our sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and made our experience fun while we learned about the wine and the bourbon barrel downstairs! The food was out of this world. After just eating at a 3 Michelin star restaurant in London and a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Brussels, I would say Zero George is on par. Every dish was flavorful and delicious; I did not want the experience to end. We were celebrating my brother’s birthday and the chef kindly signed a menu and brought it out to us. I grew up in Charleston, and know we have delicious food in the area, but Zero George is hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had!

Our party only got a few drinks so I can’t comment on the food. The cocktails were incredible! Diverse drink menu in an intimate setting, knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. There were table set up outside for a cute patio dining experience. Would happily revisit.
