Vin 909 is a good brick oven pizza place in Annapolis. The pizzas are a pretty good size and taste like a neoplitan pizza from Italy. For starters, we had the beef tartare. It was just okay. While not bad, I wouldn’t order it again. The horse radish aoili overpowered the mild dish. If you love horse-radish, then go for it. Then we had the Rockstar truffle and figs pizza and the Margherita with pepperoni and pepperchini’s. Both were delicious. The first was slightly sweet and salty, almost like a light dessert. The second, spicy and savory. Get some pizzas and get some wines or beer when you’re here. The waitress staff were pleasant and we didn’t really have any issues with service. The place is small, and the inside could have a tight squeeze.

Vin 909 is an amazing place to enjoy a drink and some delicious food. There tends to be a line when they open and of you have to wait, it’ll be worth it. Recently, sat at the Chefs bar. While waiting for our food my wife and I enjoyed watching the kitchen prepare other patrons order. We had a bottle of rose wine and for dinner we had the gazpacho, pineappolis and Margherita pizza. The pineappolis was our favorite with its Smokey sweet bbq sauce. We didn’t save room for desert this time but it looked great!

We spent the day in DC from Delaware and made sure to make Vin 909 a must eat stop for dinner on the return trip. We were seated immediately. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Lots of delicious options on the rotating menu but I had to start with the staple Cast Iron Skirt Steak! There’s a reason this is one of the few dishes that stays year round on the menu. The steak was perfectly cook; immaculately plated and the taste and texture was just insanely delicious! My vegetarian daughter had the stracciatella cheese with broccoli rabe pesto with the most yummy toasted baguette! Her dish was bright and rich and the perfect way to prepare for some of the best tasting pizza we’ve had in a VERY long time! We opted for the Bibi’s pizza and the floors of cheeses, mushrooms, truffle oil and salt were just so fragrant and so delicious! The fresh thyme just cut through the richness and left us wanting more! The dessert was the classic fig & brioche bread pudding with dulche de leche sauce and it was so satisfying! I cannot wait to jump back in the car and make the 1+hr drive back to try some new items and different wonderful wines!

What an intimate and wonderful atmosphere this restaurant provides. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and we really enjoyed all the suggestions we were given. You don’t feel rushed, and are able to relax and enjoy a few glasses of wine here.

We went at noon on a weekday and there was a crowd waiting to be seated. We were seated at the chef’s table, which mean we could watch while they worked. I was so impressed by the chef closest to our seats. He made all dishes quickly and with careful precision and they were beautifully displayed. We both had pizzas, which were superb and tasty. At first the service was a bit slow, but it picked up and we had everything we needed. It is a wonderful restaurant!

Wow!! What an amazing gem we stumbled across. The service was amazing, beautiful salads, delicious food, incredible wine selection, great presentation…and oh so affordable!! What a great evening out with an incredible dining experience!! And we randomly ended up seated at the Chef’s Counter – even better because we saw everything!!
