Had a great meal at Cortina last night. My husband had the pork chops, which were super juicy and well portioned. I had the pesto mushroom ravioli, which was also a decent size and incredibly flavorful. The little gem salad and fennel focaccia apps were wonderful too!

What makes this place a gem is how its setting is designed. The tables are in close proximity of each other like everyone is sharing a family meal. The portion size is perfect for an individual or to share depending on how hungry you are. I was surprised by the Happy Hour portions as you won’t go hungry. None of us ever ate here so it was great to be pleasantly surprised. Only downfall was parking.

Cortina is easily one of the best restaurants in all of Seattle. From it’s waitstaff, to its bartenders, to its food. The atmosphere, while classy, allows for casual enjoyment, and the food and drink are just out of this world delicious. Easily our favorite restaurant of Seattle in such a convenient location downtown near the convention center. Easily walkable if you’re in the convention area.

I’m finding that you just can’t go wrong with any Ethan Stowell restaurant, and this one is no exception. Service from the moment I walked in the door was fantastic. The focaccia was most excellent, carrots cooked nicely, and mushroom pesto ravioli was tasty. I’m most impressed by the thoughtful combination of flavors in every dish, and how they work together to wow your taste buds. I’ll repeat again how good the focaccia was, it’s a must have appetizer!

Beautiful new cafe in the lobby of Two Union Square just outside the elevator from the parking garage. This new cafe by Ethan Stowell is an extension of the Cortina restaurant downstairs facing Union St. The food is made fresh daily in the Cortina kitchen. Coffee is by Vita. Cafe design by Heliotrope Architects and constructed by Dovetail General Contractors.

Visited this restaurant for a team lunch. I ordered potato gnocchi. It was truly delicious. The gnocchi was very fresh and soft. The squash sauce went very well with the gnocchi.

Cortina is a popular Italian restaurant in Seattle that serves up delicious pasta dishes. The pasta is made fresh daily in the restaurant’s own pasta factory, and the sauces are made with the freshest ingredients. The result is a pasta dish that is both flavorful and satisfying.

Walked in with friends without a reservation on a Tuesday night and were seated pretty quickly. To our surprise (lucky us) it was restaurant week and Cortina was participating. I had the steak tartare, sourdough (which was a little extra) the pasta dish (nice and spicy) and we shared dessert. Our friend picked a wine that was out of this world. All of that was only $60/person which for downtown Seattle isn’t bad in my opinion. All in all it was a great experience for us. Thank you!

Great experience at Cortina. I had the summer sangria. It was white but I would have preferred a red sangria but I didn’t ask before ordering. I also ordered an old fashioned.
