This was a delicious place… We eat on the terrace and it was really nice. They made me an incredible Mezcal margarita with charcoal, which was so delicious The food we ate was all beautifully, prepared and perfectly seasoned. We loved the special scallops, cauliflower, side dish, braised pork, and octopus. See photos below.

Had an excellent dinner. The view was pretty. Food was delicious. Service was on point. Our server Carissa was attentive and hospitable. Really appreciated her menu tour and recommendations. We had a misfire on our fries and Carissa took care of it with ease and speed. The octopus was runner up for best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back. Pictured is the guajillo pork, which was also bangin.

We stumbled upon Bentwood Tavern after mixing up time zones. We were starving and eager to relax. We could not have found a better place to have dinner! The food was delicious, unique dishes and flavors. We loved the atmosphere, it was a perfect place for a special date night. Service was incredible and we felt really lucky to find ourselves there for dinner. We were visiting from our of town and we’ll definitely be back!

I happened to stop by here at random and found it is located in a resort. Ordered the hamburger and tavern chicken. They were pretty good, the chicken has a strong citrus but was good. The burger was awesome with the bacon and cheddar on it. I would come here again, just be prepared as the prices are on the steeper side, likely because of the quality and service provided here, so it made it worth it.

Hate to say after being a customer since you opened originally I ate there 2xs a week it was my favorite place always but this new place is not like it was you had a hip beautiful place and made it way to Chicago like and your in new Buffalo!! The menu dose not match the remodel! Basically same old food with huge price increases! No salad no veggies I got a bowl with chicken stock and chicken ! Then the octopus dinner was a mini octopus with nothing no bread no salad nothing it’s crazy you had the best pizza with choices now you have cheese or pepperoni!! It’s like a child’s menu choice! I’m very very sad tonight is my last time I will ever go !! And a $33 old fashion that’s not even a down town loop price it’s gonna snow there in 60 days and people like me who come all winter and threw 2 years of COVID will be gone hope the 3 month Chicago crowd pays your bills for 12 months !! Silly move !!

I took my Mom out to dinner here. She hasn’t been there in a while. All other restraunts in New Buffalo had a minimum 1.5 hour wait. The Bentwood had no wait. (I should have figured it out then) My Mom ordered a Burger and fries for 25.00. The burger was rare when served even though she asked for med well. When she said something the staff told her they have talked to the kitchen about this issue before but will bring it up again. I got the Lobster Roll for 31.00. It was cold lobster salad shoved into butterflyed bread. I also got a side of green beans over the creamed corn puree for 14.00 to split which was bland and just meh at best. The drinks were okay but just okay.
