December 1946 Richard Dick Clark opened an ice cream, and short orders shop in a small addition next to his uncle’s grocery store, Sutton’s grocery located at 702 N. Prince St. The shop quickly evolved into a full dine in/carry out restaurant with a full menu that includes Steaks, Pizza, Spaghetti, Sandwiches, Beer, Wine and Ice Cream. The Restaurant has become known to the locals as Dick Clark’s Family Restaurant and has been continually been operated by the Clark Family for the past 75 years. The Clark Family has expanded the restaurant several times over the years to now include meeting room and a large banquet room with a capacity of 200. My experience was just right in the middle. I had a couple days off and wanted to try something new and saw this place from doing a Google search. I didn’t mind the drive which was about an hour for me. Got to the restaurant around 1 in the afternoon and it was dead. I walked in and wasn’t sure if it was seat yourself or be seated by a host/hostess. I wasn’t impressed with the wait staff. I ordered a Deluxe pizza with BBQ sauce without mushrooms and mushrooms were on them when it arrived. I have never had mushrooms before and wasn’t sure if I was allergic. For a drink, small 6″ pizza, mozzarella cheese bread, tax, tip and finally 3.95% fee for paying with card fee $21 later. I was wanting to try their talked about ice cream and/or shake but since they were not crowded all the employees working decided to take a break at one of the big tables in the dining room. I didn’t want to inconvenience them. It seems that they don’t stay very busy because I heard one of the wait staff employees say It must not have been busy last night because I can see that only a couple rolls of silverware were used and I also heard a wait staff employee say if they weren’t busy they close early. I will not ever visit again and wouldn’t even if I lived in Princeton.

Came to this restaurant to have an after funeral dinner, 6/21/2023 4pm. Where we were met with wait staff making nasty/rude comments about coming in as a big group. The waitress we had was stuck serving the big group by herself as the rest of the wait staff stood and watched even though the rest of the restaurant was empty (only 1 other table). Our waitress said she would be back to receive the rest of the orders for our table, then forgot them. When reminded the waitress got rude “I’m doing the best I can” and threw her hands in the air. The staff is very unprofessional. No management to be seen, unsure as to why the store was aloud to be ran like this.

The lunch specials were good but the the menu didn’t have prices for the boneless wings. A order of boneless wings, cheese sticks and a soda was over $24.60. A soda is 3.50 plus tax. Way to high.

We ordered a 16pc fried chicken for pickup. Their sides are horrible but their chicken is normally really good. This time the chicken was way over cooked. We didn’t realize it was over done til we got all the way home. My husband tried a wing & said omg this burnt. So I tried a wing just to confirm. It wasn’t edible so we had no choice but to call them back. The manager basically harassed my husband acting like we weren’t being truthful. We gave them our check # & agreed to bring the chicken back. When we got there a lady counted our chicken,rudely yelling there’s only 14 pcs here. My husband replied yes but it’s all burnt. Debating on goin back bc they were very disrespectful for no reason. We were not rude & we’ve been faithful customers

Ungodly slow as in slower than molasses. Took 45 minutes to get our food and the chicken tenders spent their past life as brick-mortar. Also overpriced. Sweet tea and honey mustard were good though.

My wife and I just found this place, it’s been around forever. It’s a quaint little restaurant, well actually not so little. We both had hamburgers, they were good, fries were good. They have a pizza bar on Tuesday and Thursday nights and salad bar every night. We enjoyed our time there. Oh, they make a good cup of coffee.
