I have to say Shiki Omakase really has the gift & talent. They know how to prepare & serve some of the best sushi ever. The service & hospitality alone was a win for me, even down to how they explain what they’re giving you. Truly a great experience.

The fish was delicious, however the rice was way too wet and over cooked AND salty. I told the chef and he changed the rice however it was still salty. For $100, it wasn’t the worst but was expecting better due to the reviews. The fish was delicious and we were given way longer, we also ordered a special item and it was very nice. I had a good time and will give it another chance next time.

The service was a little too good – someone is always watching your plate. The fish were all so fresh and good. The chefs batch process the dishes, so don’t expect conversation or improvisation. Won’t be back just because there are so many alternatives, many with nicer atmosphere.

First time going to an omakase and this was a fantastic experience. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Hard to find a “cheaper” omakase offering in NY but this is a great option. The fish was great quality and my gf and I really enjoyed the experience.

Food: 10/10. For $68, you get excellent sushi (2 appetizers, a hand roll, one uni roll, and 9 nigiri on top). The fish they use here is much fresher and better than other omakase spots around this price point. I mean, there’s two pieces during the dinner that have uni. Caviar, A5 Wagyu, and scallops are also among some premium ingredients. The sushi itself was well made and paired with interesting but delicious additions (I liked the yuzu on top of the salmon and the sturgeon caviar on the otoro piece.)

Worst omakase I’ve ever had in terms of food, service and atmosphere.

This was certainly really good Omakase, especially for the price point. For me, this gets 5 stars because it was delicious and wild for only 65 dollars. We went for my brothers birthday and they did a cool little celebration for him. Go for a celebration to be sure, or just go because you want very good Omakase on a budget.

I think the reason I wasn’t wowed with this spot is because some of the pieces were kind of small. The signature pieces (like toro and caviar, uni and truffle, or wagyu and uni) at other omakase places with similar prices are more substantial and leaves a lasting impression – here they were lackluster in comparison.

I would say ingredients they use are much fresher and better than other omakase spots around this price point. You will get Caviar, A5 Wagyu, and some premium ingredients.

I came for a 17-piece omakase but ended up with at least 5 add-on courses after because everything was so good! The ingredients were fresh, chefs and staff were extremely friendly, and each dish was served with delicacy and creativity. Best of all, the price was very reasonable. I recommend giving combinations of scallop, toro, ebi, and/or uni a shot. No complaints here; I’m not a local, but I will be back!
