A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. I visit this location every Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to take my dad to get something to eat. He loves to get two pieces of fish and a baked potato along with the two hush puppies that come with it. The food is always hot and fresh!

Our cashier was very sweet and the store had a 100% rating. From the drive thru I looked in and they had the cleanest floor I’ve seen. Our food was still hot when we arrived home. I had grilled whitefish and mom had Salmon. Both were excellent, as were our sides.

Quick service. Received No crunchies with fish, fries were slimy. Corn on cob was not fresh. Hush puppies should have been cooked a little longer. Parking lot needs to be power washed. Not very appealing appearance.

The food was pretty good around the time I went that day. I give the food a 4 out of 5. The green beans where a bit to watery, but was okay. The crab cake could have been a bit more fresh. The service was a touch bit below mediocre. I mean it wasn’t bad, but it was nothing spectacular about it. I went through the drive-through, and the girl just did her job. Nothing more, nothing less. She had no type of greeting or anything.

I’ve not had capitan D’S in a long while my mom and I would go there before Covid and dine in and always order the white fish meals. On 07/01 my mom decided to treat my wife and I to a meal. Everything was find I put in the order online and went thru the drive thru to pickup my order. When we picked up the order I asked the lady handing me my food if the hush puppies were in the bag with my meals. She states yes while singing a R&B song I thought ok but went to my moms for lunch and the order was missing the hush puppies and the frys and shrimp were cold. Called the store the singing Manger apologize that we were missing the hush puppies and for the food . We had to drive back to the store and wait for new food the cook was rude. Another customer who didn’t speak English came in at the same time cook was bringing my order out and ask the gentleman if he had his order but he was waiting on the lady to make his drink and rudely Shooed him away by waving his hand. That really hurt me. My wife and I just took our food and left. This ruined a nice meal that my mom paid for for my wife and myself. Bad experience. Shameful.

Normally I do not share my reviews and have given this restaurant numerous times to get it right but for some reason they are unable to get it right! It is very annoying to order something for your lunch wait almost an hour or over and then get the order and it’s incorrect. No I don’t want to wait for it to be redelivered and YES I do want my money back, BUT none of this would be needed if the order was CORRECT the first time. I would suggest you not complete a mobile order through this restaurant,because you will waste your whole lunch waiting for the food to come and it will be incorrect!

When I came in, clerk was playing on her phone. Then took off to back of store. Drive through clerk took my order. I chose to dine in, food was brought to me in a to go box and presentation was less than, not very appetizing at all. I thanked clerk for my service on my way out but was ignored.

Wow this place is filthy. The floor is so slippery from grease that you can literally see it. Every table is dirty, trash cans full, Fountain drink machine is nasty looking. Not but a couple people but no 1 is about to take time to clean in any way. Even manager acts disgusted to be at work. I’m hoping we don’t get sick from the food that we picked at. They trays they are serving food on are not even clean. The health Dept really need to check this place out.
