The easiest 5 stars i’ve ever given. This place was exquisite and the staff was so pleasant. We made a reservation here for my birthday and Lombardo had a birthday card waiting at our table for me when we arrived. Almost all of the staff working wished me a happy birthday as well. Our server, Bryan was a saint- so polite and almost attentive, even insisting on taking a picture of my boyfriend and I so I could remember my birthday! A perfect birthday spent here at Lombardo for sure!

This is a true 5 star restaurant. We were driving through and called ahead to see if we could score a table. We were seated at the bar as they were completely full. Let me tell you we did not suffer for bar dining! The bartenders Jim and Ben were very knowledgeable, and more than familiar with actual 5 star service. The wine list includes harder to find Italian wines by the glass. The menu includes homemade pasta, Italian standards, and unique interpretations of classics. The Ceasar salad was literally what all Caesar’s should aspire to be – if you have a table, it is prepared table side, steakhouse style. We opted for the appetizer special, grilled and stuffed Hungarian peppers – which were very flavorful. Each of us had an entree that featured some of their homemade pasta and it was so good. Finally, the desserts are not to be missed! The pastry chef knows their business and makes fresh gelato, sorbet and other confectionery you must have. Apparently this place is an institution in Buffalo and a great reason for us to return!

The service and waiting staff was exceptional – VERY attentive (but not obnoxiously so and never interrupted) polite, professional, and knowledgable. This really gave a white glove dining experience as good service is so rare nowadays! Very quiet and great ambiance – perfect setting for a date or special occasion. Oh, and the food was excellent!

The mixture of mint and savory herbs exceeded my tasting expectations At the end of our meal, I reminded Mr Lombardo, when I worked at the police precinct, down the street, he would offer me a cup of soup, and it would be delicious.

Everything was amazing. We celebrated a 21st birthday, and they welcomed us with a hand written card. The place was beautiful and romantic, with great service. I am vegan, and both the server and the kitchen were very helpful and accommodating. Definitely would recommend. A little pricey but perfect for special occasions.
