I went for dinner on a Friday night around 5:30. The place was almost filled by 6pm. This was not only my first time at Queen of Sheba, it was also my first time eating Ethiopian food. It was excellent. I just moved from Los Angeles with thousands of top notch, culturally diverse restaurants and did not expect to find this gem in west palm beach! The decor is really nice. You felt like you were somewhere else. I was also pleasantly surprised by the crowd. It was extremely diverse. It was nice to see people of all backgrounds enjoying themselves and something different from the norm. You’re encouraged to use your hands for the meal. However; forks are available on request. If you’re vegan or vegetarian- this menu is ideal! There’s many dishes to choose from. I recommend the sampler. That way you can try several things. The Ethiopian beer was good too. Sarah and the rest of the staff are fantastic and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. Will be going back and recommending to friends. There is a parking lot which is really convenient as well as street parking. Indoor seating only.

The goal of a good restaurant is to inspire to to be present, and to be transported to somewhere the restaurant represents. This is a no frills place, but you immediately feel like you’re invited into a home. Be sure to get a reservation because there were only two in our party, and we were almost turned away. The menu is 80% vegetarian/vegan, with a few traditional meat offerings. I had the Doro Wot which is the national dish of Ethiopia, and it was fabulous. The injera tasted like it was made with a mothers love. A wonderful experience all the way around.

We walked in without a reservation and were turned away. We were halfway back to our car, a little disappointed but completely understanding, when the host came out and brought us back in per the chef’s request. The food was phenomenal. Aromatic, and full of flavor. The chef came to our table personally to see if we had enjoyed the meal. Everyone working was very kind. We will absolutely be back. We are hooked.

If you like homemade food made from scratch and with lots of love, then you must visit. We drive an hour to get here but always worth it – not only the food is delicious, but the hospitality from the owners make you feel like home. If you a vegan or vegetarian, this is heaven for you!

Nit sure if this is the only African restaurant in town but I could not find any other one. I will definitely come back. I think they could work a tad bit on the greasy part however the food is delicious and it’s 100% authentic Ethiopian. My wife and my mom never had Ethiopian food before so they were waiting for silverware (lol…) and when they saw me starting to eat with my bare hands they were dying of laughters. Great place, great decor and the owner is amazing. Will definitely come back!
