The District GastroBar has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well curated modern speak easy with a nostalgic vintage ambiance and an eclectic array of one off pieces of Prohibition and 1940 era inspired artwork. The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course. Head Chef Eugene and menu creator Andre Walton have adapted to the new shared plate dining trend that has swept the nation, and with The District GastroBarmenu, they have created waves on the food scene better known as GASTRONOMY!

First and last time here. Honestly it was the service that killed it for me. Half of my order was over cooked and I left hungry looking for another brunch spot. We waited so long for drinks and over an hour for our food. Our drink were never refreshed and as long as the bar took we would have waited forever for another drink. There wasn’t even alot of ppl in the restaurant either. Apparently, this restaurant supplies for the club next door as well. Everyone who ordered waffles said they were cold. Definitely can’t see myself coming back and I love a good brunch spot.

The rib grilled cheese was awesome, so were the truffle fries.

Food was solid, but weird service experience. Sitting right by video board advertising Friday happy hour (photo attached), server was adamant that they didn’t do happy hour on Fridays. After seeing it rotate through on the board again, server got mad when we asked again. Then he rolled his eyes after we asked about getting a baseball game on one of the many TVs (we knew right away it was never coming in).

The good was good at this restaurant. We had Mia as our server and she was able to handle a large party of 19. However the kitchen kept getting our orders wrong bringing out the wrong items. But the Loster Mac & Cheese was good, shrimp tacos were good and there wings and gator bits were good.

What a GREAT Find!!! We stumbled into this place on an Orlando City Soccer night and are SO glad we did! The dark glass on the outside doesn’t let you see the well decorated and cool inside, so we had no idea what to expect. The staff was friendly and THE FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD! The tacos were generously stuffed and flavorful! The burger was DELICIOUS! I was super impressed by the quality of meat and perfect sear…which matters a lot! This will be our new game day tradition! So Yummy!

I attended a birthday brunch here last Saturday. Our reservation was at 12:30 pm, which was perfect timing because it wasn’t crowded at that time and parking was close. I ordered the Cajun fried rice with lobster and it was delicious! The pineapple mimosa was also good. My only issue was how slow the service was. My friend whose birthday it was, ordered the unlimited mimosas with the 2 hr limit and she didn’t receive her 2nd drink until after an hour. Her significant other didn’t receive his waffle and chicken until after everyone at our table had eaten. There were 3 other people who ordered food at our table. My friend said the chicken patty was hard. I think chicken wings would make a better presentation and her french toast was dry. Lastly, gratuity is already included on the bill.

The food was good. No complaints about the food or the staff they were friendly. However, they have a policy that I absolutely can NOT agree with. I am 100% against tipping of any form. Pay the employees what they are worth. For me, tips start at 10% and I adjust from there based on the service provided. The management here has decided that a “20% service charge” will be applied to ALL orders. It doesn’t even matter how many people are in your party. They will force you to pay an extra 20% and then have the audacity to ask for more at the checkout terminal. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the food and staff were nice. It’s not their fault the company is greedy and cheap.

I wanted something different. Also, I wanted to support a locally owned Black owned restaurant, so I thought this would be a cool spot for my birthday dinner after a soccer game at Exploria Stadium. This establishment did not disappoint. Despite it being extremely business during a networking event, we were immediately greeted by a hostess & seated promptly. Talk about stellar customer service. The wait staff knew the menu extremely well & did not disappoint with food choices. The tostone nachos were a huge portion & delicious. My friends ordered shrimp & grits, and lobster tail sliders. I highly suggest hitting up this spot whether a visitor or local. It’s soccer season so get your friends together before a game at The District Gastrobar.

We were in town for a concert. Thomas was such a big help. We were really late for our reservation. He got us seated on a busy day! The bartender next door she was so helpful and understanding! The food was delicious. The crab cake was so so tasty . The gator bites and lobster Mac were great, too. The lobster tacos were forgettable. Not nasty or anything but I won’t order them again. Gratitude is included but well deserved.

Food was good I got the chicken and waffles you get two bone in thigh and leg very crispy, waffle had fresh nice blue berries and whip cream, Father inlaw got the shrimp and grits he loved it, Fiance got some tacos, food was good. just don’t forget they add 20% to your bill so be mindful when tipping, I’ve served tables before, I know how it is so I tip good, with a 120$ bill I tipped another $20, so that’s basically a $40 tip. I’m not saying don’t tip, but the gratuity is already taken when the check comes
