This place was pretty alright. We really enjoyed the fresh made margaritas. The food was enjoyable and the portions were large. Service was good. Based on my experience… overall we really had a good time and didn’t leave disappointed.

What a fun place! We stopped in to grab a bite after our long drive from Seattle and had a great time on the patio! Interesting, eclectic gathering spot that’s a salty blend of New Orleans and Mexico. The Citrus Margaritas are delish! And the Short Rib Nachos are nothing short of spectacular. Loaded with yummy short rib, cheese and pickled red onion, there is easily enough for two. Our server was delightful and had lots of great recommendations for other places to try while we’re in town. Can’t wait to come back! Susan Says…hey, that’s nacho plate!

We had a wonderful lunch today – the Food & Service by Libby was wonderful. We always enjoy the positive atmosphere and fun decor. I usually get the nachos because they have a delicious flavor explosion but today I was feeling the AK’s Burger. It was cooked to perfection and served with fries. Don’t sleep on the caramelized onions and do add the cheese! Phillip enjoyed the Saudero Tacos because they are his favorite!

We’re from Los Angeles, and love our Latin-inspired restaurants (classic, fusion, elevated, etc). This was just OK. The braised meat was good but the food was lacking overall depth and creativity. I think it was striving to be unique Mexican cuisine but it missed the mark completely. In fact, salsa is always a great measure and their salsa tasted like marinara sauce, absolutely no heat (and yes, we asked for spice, but they ran out of their “spicy salsa”). We should’ve known better when they had Tapito/Tabasco next to the Ketchup on the table.

We used to drive an hour for this food before the recent changes to the menu. Recently we moved out of state and this was always a must stop. Smoked brisket has been removed from the menu completely and tacos are now mostly filler condiments with very little flavor in the protein. I use to tell anyone who would listen about this restaurant, sadly that is no longer the case. In a market saturated with Mexican or Spanish inspired cuisine, it was nice to have something that stood out that they did well, and smoked brisket and short ribs were that thing. Unfortunately in my personal opinion, they are nothing more than an expensive food truck now.

Delicious food. Came on a recommendation, which was worth it. The voodoo fries and brisket taco are amazing. The wings were less of a hit with me, as they are more of a taco sauce coating flavor, but I’d absolutely go back for the fries and tacos.

This was my first time at AK Mercado. The restaurant’s location on Main Street is ideal. The table arrangements and set up are nice and the restaurant’s atmosphere is quite pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband and I shared the veggie burger and it was very good. In fact, my husband said this is one of the very best veggie burgers he’s had. As you can see from the photos, this veggie burger is not the burger imitation type that tries to emulate a real beef burger. Instead, this is more like the traditional, old fashioned veggie burger. The fries are fresh and taste wonderful. There’s a dill flavored dipping sauce that pairs quite well with the fries. One suggestion is: we’d like to see more veggie options offered. So far I’ve noticed the veggie tacos and veggie burger as the current options available. We look forward to next time at AK Mercado. Thank you.

We had a wonderful night sitting on the patio with our dogs. Everything we ordered was delicious. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable. A lot of the menu is a la carte which makes it easy to try different things and share. The drink menu is also fun.
