A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Never been a fan of the breaded fish, but I absolutely love the grilled fish options. I will literally go out of my way to swing by and get the grilled lemon pepper whitefish meal. For the last 2 to 3 months, every single time I go by, they say the grill is not up or is not working. I know I am just one person placing just one order, but there is no way that any corporation or franchise would allow such an integral piece of equipment to remain broken. I cannot understand for the life of me why they keep telling me this. Is it because they simply do not want to clean the grill at the end of the day? every time I go by, they’re outside, smoking, on their phones, and completely ignoring the customers that walk in. I just don’t get it…

Paid online for grilled seafood. Get to store to pick up and the grill is down( this is 6 months ago grill still down) then no refund called corporate still no refund. They amaze me give you a dinner then give you no sauce or utinsild

I eat here alot since it is by my home the service isnt great nor bad. The grill has been down for a while so you only have the option of fried items at this time – i will say the order is right 90% of the time and hot. Overall the staff is friendly – i dont go inside only the drive thru

Food is good, the only thing is you don’t get much for your money. The pregnant chick, she acts strange and messes up the order and blames it on the cook, really! Also if she could do something else and not handle the food or drinks, it would be appreciated. I didn’t drank my drink. Didnt felt good about it coming from her!

As far as a choice of seafood when going the fast food route goes it’s okay but it doesn’t really have any competition. Service is rather slow and it’s dining service in which once was the darling of fast food isn’t there any more. Drive through is terribly slow but the food which was once plentiful is good but not a bang for the buck.
