Being from Texas, I have a rule when it comes to picking out BBQ places. And , that is if I can’t smell the smoke from a mile away, I’m not going. We’ll, let’s just say I didn’t follow my own rule.

The brisket and pulled pork were just the right amount of smokiness and very tender. The Brussels sprout and coleslaw sides were delicious. My son had the Post Oak burger and it was really good! I would recommend going here.

We visited Post Oak to check out their new menu, which had BBQ with an Asian flare! One of the owners is Taiwanese, so her recipes are authentic and everything from the dumplings, bao, and wontons were incredible. I think it’s a cool concept to have BBQ and Asian together, I haven’t really seen that previously! My fiancé loved his old fashioned and BBQ sampler platter, and we were really impressed at how flavorful the turkey was especially. The smoked buffalo wings were great too! I enjoyed my mac & cheese but did feel the mac could’ve been a bit cheesier, but that’s probably more of a personal preference. My Nutella and fluffernutter milkshake was good, but I didn’t get too much peanut butter. The bread pudding was very good for dessert! We sat at the bar, and the bartender taking care of was so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. I’m curious to come back for brunch and to check out the beer garden when it’s warmer.

Outstanding smoked barbecue. Good measure for a real BBQ restaurant – ribs are dry rubbed only and fall-off the bone tender, not covered with BBQ sauce. Post Oak serves *real* barbecue, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, sausages, chicken, etc. Very good sides. Options for everyone. Salads, appetizers. Reasonable portions. Very good bar menu, above avg beer and wine selection. Nice ambience, rustic interior seating, classic center bar seating, and outdoor dining. Very good wait staff. Check it out!

Best BBQ we’ve had in a long time. Recently came for brunch and had the Brisket Hash was phenomenal, home made etc. We’ve also had the coconut shrimp, baked beans, pulled pork, wings, steak tips- we’ve tried it all and it’s all worth the visit.

New to the place and it was a take out meal. Great BBQ ribs nice and meaty. Side of corn bread and bacon and brussel sprouts all delicious.Put it on my list to return.

Ambience and service was great. Our server was pleasant, attentive and gave suggestions. That’s about the only good things I can say. Honey bbq wings were undercooked but sauce was good. The pulled pork and rib platter were cooked well but tasteless and the accompanying bbq sauces were disgusting. Sides of mashed potatoes and string beans were mediocre. Try some where else.

Had the brisket and it was excellent. The Brussels sprouts were tasty as well. Would definitely return if I’m back in the area. Only knock is that they charge you for refills on ice tea. I wish the server informed me before I had a couple refills.

The baby back ribs are “meh.” The “pickled” vegetables were pointless. The mac and cheese is just like Kraft. The Brussels sprouts were lukewarm and unappetizing. Don’t waste your money here. I’m still looking for a local rib place that knows what they’re doing. For the first time in my life, I think I’m just tossing half the ribs and the rest of the uneaten sides. So disappointing.

The smoked wings are a must try. Cool spot that’s worth checking out. I’ll have to return for the meats as we opted for tacos this time around.
