Just past the “grade” (which is a narrow road with water on both sides) off Castle Rock Lake, is a tiny bar featuring smoke house specialties. They have a decent menu with some unique items, like kick’n corn salad. The prices are super reasonable. The ribs were definitely incognito. I thought they may be mediocre, but I was happily wrong. They were perfect! You could pick them up but they didn’t disintegrate on you. Don’t get me wrong, they were tender, and the bones still could be pulled out easily. The seasoning was perfecto! They have a nice selection of sauces that paired well.

Avoid! Called at 830pm and asked how long they took food orders and she said 9pm. Put family in the car and was there at 8:40pm and door was locked. She came to the door and said they were closed. I said I literally just called 10 mi it’s ago and she said sorry. I guess the 2 guys she was entertaining at the closed bar was more important.

Arrived at about 7 PM on a Friday. Ordered immediately and just tried to enjoy the atmosphere. We were assured after 45 minutes that our food would be out in the next five minutes or so. No problem as a Friday night can be busy. 30 minutes later still no food. When we asked our server, if we were going to be receiving our food in the near future, she chastised us. As far as we could tell, no one else had received their food in the entire time we were sitting there. We were told it would be at least another 20 minutes before we received our food. Very disappointed in the service. Wish I could comment on the food, but we never saw any come out. We definitely won’t be returning and would recommend others avoid this place if you can.

The service was prompt. The food was not even edible. I ordered the ribs beans and fries. My friend ordered pulled chicken with 2 sides. Ribs were almost raw and very fatty. Pulled chicken had globs of fat mixed in with the chicken. My friend picked the chicken out of the pile and ate a small portion but she didn’t want to complain. I sent the ribs back to the kitchen and asked to have them removed from my bill. I stated i woukd pay for my 2 sides. The server said they would comp the ribs and I could order something of equal or lesser value from the menu. At this point I didnt want anything from this kitchen. The server insisted so I ordered the tacos. The tacos were the same fat blobs mixed into the chicken as what my friend had. At this point I just wanted to leave. I asked for the bill. I was charged for the tacos and 2 sides. I paid it and left. Disgusting food. Many other places on the lake with much better food. Avoid this restaurant if you’re hungry!

it was our first time eating there and after ordering ,it was a good 45 mins for the food to arrive. no big deal. street tacos were ok-ish. when the bill came we were being charged for things that were not disclosed during the ordering. when addressed to the server she became squirrelly and was rude af. not going back and recommend not going.

Ribeye was grilled just right and tasted amazing. Everyone at our table loved what they ordered. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed everything so much we didn’t realize we didn’t have any salad.

Firstly couldn’t add lettuce or pickels to my burger do to use of tablets for order taking, use paper simple easy and effective. Curdburger only had 4 cheese curds on it very vague for a 13 dollar burger. 4 dollars upcharge for jalapeño poppers that looked like crab-ragoo. Wouldn’t eat here again paid similar amount for better food elsewhere.

Excellent quality sandwiches. My wife loved the grilled cheese with jalapeno and blackberry jam. My fish sandwich was huge with 2 big pieces of fish. The kid’s burgers and patty melts were great as well. We all got the beer-battered fries, which tasted great, but I may just get the regular ones next time as the battered ones were pretty greasy. Overall a very nice experience, we sat outside which was about as nice of an outdoor eating area as you can get!! Definitely the best place in this area!!
