I think I’m in love. I found myself at the Pono Hukilau quite by accident. I wanted sushi in Florence, Oregon and this was the closest of many restaurants offering seafood. I was the first customer when they opened their doors. I was greeted with a smile and asked whether I wanted indoor or outdoor seating. Right away, the Hawaiian vibe put me in a relaxed mood. My server, Hannah, was just the right amount of attentive. I told her I was not in a hurry and ordered myself a fish taco while browsing Google photos for my main course. The taco was an explosion of flavor. I had to rely on my servers recommendation because there were just too many beautiful menu choices to make a decision. She recommended the spicy are you roll it might be the best one I’ve ever had. Their dishes are works of art for the eyes and taste buds. The sushi chefs clearly treat their craft as such. If I’m ever back this way, I will make it a point to return for some epic seafood creations.

The chicken and the shrimp in the Our Noodle Dish were excellent, and the vegetables were also great.

Second to none! Atmosphere and culture match the high quality food. A great experiential restaurant choice for residents and tourists alike. Wonderful owners and the leadership and support for the team is noticeable. I’m still salivating from our meal choices and it’s be a couple of weeks :). Generous meal portions too. Mahalo Pono Hukilau!

My dad basically lives here and I can see why! The service food and overall experience is just wonderful. They are very clean welcoming. I’m pregnant and they go out of their way to accommodate my weird cravings. I can’t say enough good things. Blaze the bartender and Cynthia our server kept our drinks and belly’s full ♥️

The BEST sushi rolls I have ever had in my life, hands down. Everything I have observed coming out of the kitchen looks fantastic. I have made it my mission to try evry single item available

Touring the Oregon Coast from North to South and stopped in Florence to stay the night. Stopped by Pono Hukau. First I would give this place six out of five stars if it was an option. We had three drinks. Jungle Fruit Margarita, Classic Mai Tai and Aloha Mojito. All three drinks were phenomenal. I had the pineapple teriyaki and two sushi rolls. The food on-point and truly amazing.

Best Everything! It’s the best tasting food you have ever put in your mouth. Blaze makes amazing drinks, and we don’t like to drink, but here we can’t pass up the best tasting drink. Everything we have had is so packed with flavor and the presentation is amazing. The freshest fish and Pineapple flown in daily from Hawaii. We own a local business and I suggest eating here to everyone. The atmosphere is very Hawaiian, the staff is amazing. Most of the employees have worked here since they opened. Such a happy place.

Had really high expectations for this restaurant, but it was expensive and not that good at all. The sweet sticky ribs were teriyaki and looked gross… the painkiller drink tasted like kahlua. The fish taco was extremely dry… not sure what the fish even was for $9. The sushi was standard and okay. Most of the rolls were very expensive. The only interesting thing is they said they used real crab… I didn’t try those rolls because it’s upwards of $30.

Exceptional food but very long wait. We enjoyed everything we ordered from the house fried rice (not too spicy for a toddler), Maui Wowie rolls, Unagi nigiri and Vietnamese salad of the day (ground pork, cilantro, avocado, lychee – packed with flavor!). However we had to wait over an hour to get our rolls. We still decided to stay for dessert and enjoyed the house made guava cheesecake. Staff was very friendly too.

Awesome food, fun atmosphere. This is a must!! They serve everything. I felt like I was back in Florida. The service was great and food was so delicious. They brought us this free appetizer of veggies. My husband doesn’t like to many veggies, but he couldn’t get enough of these. The dressing they had on it rocked!! This place is highly recommended. A hidden gem on 101 in Florence.
