Incredible! Very hidden gem of a place. Such a special dining experience here. Presentation was immaculate. A little on the salty side for the Wellington but flavor was complex and wonderful. Everything just came together nicely. The puff pastry was perfect. Service was very kind.

Well… The food was pretty good, the dish I got wasn’t the best. I got the beef rib and well it was pretty dry. Some sea salt and pepper would of done wonders, but it was actually overcooked. The French onion soup was actually really good the best iv ever had. The sea bass was well cooked and the lamb was descent. The atmosphere was a bit crowded it used to be more intimate but they added more tables so it does get a bit crowded, and a bit loud, but can still be a nice place for a date.. The service we’ll it was a kid and man the service was pretty bad we had to ask for drink order and to ask again for our order to be taken. He seemed a bit frustrated but it could of been him overwhelmed. There was another server that came she did better, overall I understand the concept, hole in the wall gourmet food it’s good but definitely could have some improvement..

We discovered this place through some online recommendations. I took a friend there for her birthday. We were both excited to experience something different and unique and found the promise of classic French cuisine appealing. We made reservations as that was highly recommended. As we arrived at the restaurant, we were both a little taken aback – not gonna lie. It looks like it is in an old converted gas station or something like that. After taking in the nicely designed mural on the side of the building, we stepped inside to find that, indeed, it was small and seemed crowded and had maybe one too many tables pushed into the small dining area. However, I am not too proud to admit that my first impressions were too harsh. As we were seated and had a few minutes to take things in, I observed that the tables were adequately spaced so as not to feel too crowded, and there was plenty of room for the wait staff and guests to move around the dining room and to the bathrooms without any problems. Further, I noticed all the tables were professionally dressed with tablecloths, dining ware, glasses, and napkins. A lot of the tables had flowers and candles. The chairs were comfortable, and the tables were level with no wobble. (Sometimes, that’s very rare!) I liked the art in the dining room and felt it was specific and thoughtfully decorated. When no one was looking, I took a quick peek into the kitchen, which is open at the front of the restaurant to the dining area. It was very professionally set up, clean, and orderly. So, it might be a small converted gas station with a few unfinished bits to the exterior or interior. Still, it was obvious that the staff and management were serious about their business and their craft. Jon, our waiter, was very friendly and professional. We ordered the Escargots for $13 and the Charcuterie for $20 as our starters. The Escargots were fantastic and served in a dish that seemed perfectly designed. A little detail that built some confidence. The Charcuterie came with French cheese/brie, pork rillette, chorizo, olives, pickles, pickled onion, sliced radishes, fresh raspberries, and grapes with some French bread slices. Next time we will try the Hors D’Oeuvres platter instead of the Charcuterie, but not because it was terrible. It just seemed a little flat compared to the awesome Escargots. For our mains, we got the Short Ribs with truffled mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, mushrooms, and red wine demi-glace for $32; and the duck breast with sauce reduction and roasted potatoes for $34. The Short Ribs dish was exceptional, and there was not a drop of anything left on the plate! The Duck was nicely cooked, and the sauce was good, but the roasted potatoes were not so good. For dessert, we had the Crème Brulé for $8 and the Crepes with caramelized peaches, crème, and homemade ice cream for $8. Both desserts were exquisite. Really, really good. The highlights were the Escargots, the Short Ribs, and the Desserts. The total bill was around ~$130 before the tip. We had a lovely, relaxed evening with good to great food and service.

We had lamb that had not been trimmed well and was difficult to eat. The meal was served cold, and the potatoes and veg were not edible. Desserts and appetizers were fine. Overall a disappointment after the James Beard hype and the cost.

First, make a reservation. We didn’t because there were several openings when we looked earlier in the day and 4 tables open when we walked in but we were asked to wait.

Chez Sami had amazing food and we had a very attentive and helpful server. While the building itself was not the largest building ever, it was very comforting and pleasant. I will definitely be coming back again.

Had an excellent night out at Chez Sami. This restaurant is perfect for a surprise dinner. Its exterior gives the perfect cover for the exciting, intimate interior, the service was attentive, and chef sami’s food is excellent! We had the Prix Fixe menu with rack of lamb, roasted potatoes, and garlic spinach. We also had the hor d’oeuvres which included butternut squash bisque, garlic shrimp, and a baguette with goat cheese and poached quince. Will definitely be back to try the regular menu!

The beef Wellington was superb, but the ambiance does NOT match the prices this location is charging. Loud, with only 10-12 tables, not enough elbow room between tables, front door is hard to open and opens right into the first table, roof had missing panels and the “art” didn’t match French themed restaurant. Won’t go back unless they move to a more comfortable upscale location.

I feel like I’m gonna get hate for this but tamales we’re not good. We moved into town not long ago and I’ve been craving some homemade tamales so while at the farmers market, we were excited to find the Tamale stand that had been all over my foodies page. The guys had amazing customer service and tamales were super huge but the taste just wasn’t for me. As if the masa had too much cumin in them. It was over powering. Would love to try their other food though!
