Great location. Cute hotel. Nice view. We’ve been eating out in sag harbor for years and wanted to try something new. But we were so disappointed with the restaurant. The food was really bad and we weren’t expecting this considering the price. We ordered a hamburger medium, it arrived burnt. Like completely burnt and dry. The half chicken was over cooked, dry and also burned. The halibut was like a rock, like it was left in an oven for 20 min (and it was supposed to be pan roasted!?). We also waited too long, almost an hour, for food to arrive. The waitress offered to bring us new food, but after waiting for so long, we just wanted to finish and leave. The wait staff was tried hard to do a good job. Bad tasting food is not the wait staffs fault. We did see the bad reviews on Google before we tried the restaurant, but we still wanted to give it a chance. Unfortunately we realized that the poor reviews were accurate,

Truly a hot mess of a meal….we waited forever for info about dishes and for bread. Steak was wrong twice and it went uneaten and they still charged us.

Barons Cove is lovely! We enjoyed a delicious meal + drinks on the front porch and the service provided by Alexa (and the entire bar staff) was exceptional. Alexa’s friendliness and warm hospitality made our night. Looking forward to returning.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs, my meal there was easily the worst dining experience of my life. I could spend this whole review talking about the poor food quality, how multiple orders were wrong (cooked wrong or they brought the wrong dish), or the fact that most of our table waited over an hour for their food, but the worst part was them overcharging my card. They charged me $50 more than the total, and still after weeks and multiple calls they haven’t fixed the problem yet. Despite most of us leaving the restaurant hungry and upset at how bad the experience was, we wanted to move on but now I’ve been roped into dealing with this issue they created. I wouldn’t be writing this review if anything about this experience had gone right, but from top to bottom it was a disaster. Don’t go to this restaurant whatever you do.

I made brunch reservations at Baron’s Cove for my husband and our 1 year old to celebrate Father’s Day. After we were seated at a table we waited 35 minutes and in that time a waiter did not stop by to acknowledge us or take our drink order. After we noticed that other tables who arrived after us were served we spoke to a manager and believed that everything would be taken care of. We waited another 15 minutes but still no one stopped by. We couldn’t believe that new tables were still being helped while we were ignored – we decided to leave. We were looking forward to Father’s Day brunch and could not be more disappointed. I have never experienced worse service in my life.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My mouth and stomach feel violated to have tasted the food in here, if you can even call it that. Myself and a group of 8 people had a reservation for a birthday dinner, where all the orders we placed seemed to get messed up. I asked for a medium-well burger and they brought medium-rare twice! Given that we had many issues with the food that was brought to us, the manager took 10% of our bill but then charged the card an additional $50 a week later UNAUTHORIZED!!!!

I give it five stars, because I love barons cove! The food is good, but the ambience is better. I’ve stayed here many many times I never lived in the area for 20+ years. I’m never disappointed as they have a stand up place. The location is perfect and it’s a charming Inn. From New Year’s to sitting on the patio, listening to live outdoor music, this place is always the recommendation from me. Go for the restaurant and stay for everything.

Came here for birthday brunch with 3 people. We reserved for outdoor seating which was not available. We were seated inside and we saw an available outdoor table. We asked the manager to sit outside and he said of course and sent a a busser. The table was cleaned and we waited for 15 minutes. No cocktail menu after we asked. A party of three came in and they gave them our table. How is there no communication amongst staff when it was a quiet brunch service. Very very disappointing as we come here all the time. Service has gone downhill recently. Unfriendly service the last three meals.
