This was a great restaurant! The food is awesome and pretty unique. I had the One Foundation pasta dish with tofu, and fruit punch. The entree comes with a salad and bread. I would recommend what I had. It was really creamy, savory pasta with pineapple. The combo sounds weird, but it was awesome! This restaurant does not take reservations and it fills up really quick. Expect to wait unless you get there early.

Mothers Day 2023 dinner. No advance reservation but seated quickly before the rush. Host and server courteous, although it took 35-40 minutes for the food to arrive we had no appetizers. Did get the side salad and buttered spiced bread and beverages as expected. They could have been short on help. The food was flavorful Groundation salad with added jerk chicken which was moister than expected. Nolan seafood pasta was delicious. Prices fairly reasonable for entrees I guess a glass of Italian Cabernet $10 a bit more than what I’d pay but volume was generous. All in all a reasonable caribbean dinner for Mothers Day and different than mainstream cuisine. Has indoor, bar counter and outdoor patio seating. First restaurant ever to serve Diet Rite cola!!! Probably 5 stars if quicker kitchen but place was at capacity on arrival and later a queue.

Tried Mount Zion newest addition to the menu with jerk tofu on recommendation of server and must say made damn good choice first time in Jamaican Cuisine. It had Coconut sauce with sautéed asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli topped with fresh basil and cilantro. Served with Basmati rice. Sauce had very rich and addictive flavor, definitely recommend. for salad took His Majesty’s (Sesame Garlic Tahini) dressing and it was delicious. Natty bread was oily so herbs flavor was lost. They had enough indoor and outdoor seating options available with no wait time when visited. Definitely will visit again when next time in town.

This is one of the best places I’ve eaten in Asheville. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean, and we didn’t have a wait at all. The garlic bread is so good, and they have different salad dressings and I highly recommend His Majesty’s dressing. They have different options if you’re not into pasta or rice, and that’s great. I loved the spinach fettuccini, and everything we had was great. The chicken was moist and perfectly safe. You can’t go wrong with anything you pick.

Really amazing food – I had the Nolan with shrimp and scallops, which is on the curry side, but overall, it’s a Jamaican-ish place. Outdoors is nice enough, but kinda plain for as expensive as the food is. We were also a bit neglected by the waitress for good long periods of time, including the time it took to get our food. But even so, I’d definitely go back.

Wow, Jamician fusion in Asheville, I love this town. We had just finished the 3+ hours of brooding billionare vigilante (don’t get me wrong, loved the film, huge fan of the Bat, just, well, it was broody) and we needed some fun and good food and Nine Mile hit the nail on the head.

The only complaint I have about our experience was the long wait, but that just tells you how good the food is! Everyone wants to eat here. Every staff member was very accommodating and kind, even though you knew they were all very busy! The food is always excellent, and did not disappoint this time. My trout dish with a non-dairy curry and zucchini noodles instead of regular pasta was perfect, and felt light and healthy. They were very accommodating for my son who wanted to make sure his food didn’t have too much spice in it. Overall an excellent dining experience.

I don’t know why everyone suggested this place. Ordered three dishes to try things out. All weren’t good. Barely found it edible. Their jerk chicken is grilled chicken with a jerk sauce, as opposed to a marinaded and seasoned chicken that was then cooked. And it was super well done to the point of toughness. Won’t be ordering food there again.
