Not sure if you can tell but this is not Hibachi steak with a side of broccoli and steamed rice. But apparently because of the restaurants mistake I was going to either have to drive 40 minutes total trip to pick up new food, or hold and return the food for a day, or up to two weeks, and then they would make me a new meal for me. I understand restaurants are understaffed but when I can go anywhere else and get what I order there is no excuse. So if you’re thinking about going here I would reconsider and go to Fuji’s in Hudson.

Every time I’m in town to visit, I make a point of coming here for my hibachi chicken and sweet carrots. Moved to Hawai’i from NC over 17 years ago and regularly enjoy international cuisine, including authentic Japanese food and Japanese-influenced food. Even at the huge Shirokiya market in Ala Moana, there’s simply no hibachi chicken dish I like as much as this one. I haven’t personally had any of the other dishes on their menu because when I visit Nara Express, I’m seriously just there for one thing lol. They get it right every time and give great service, have a drive thru, and my fav dish is always winnahz!! 5-stars!! I want to say if they ever offer something like a pan seared furikake ahi or maybe a poke bowl, I would probably (for the first time ever) get something besides the hibachi chicken….but knowing me I’d still get it to save for later haha cuz they have the best.

The teriyaki chicken is great annnd They made my sushi roll personalized… Allowed me to Alter their recipe to my own liking with no problem and that is an amazing thing. Thank you for always taking care of me

When we don’t want to cook and we want a good meal we go or get takeout here. Chicken is a little on the dry side but with all they are serving its not a problem…it’s an observation not a complaint… as we will keep going back because it’s good consistant food at a good price. Thanks

Good sushi, but inside floors were filthy my chair was literally stuck to the floor and employees were just sitting around talking to one another. Take out always has spilled juices in the bags.

They’re busy, but it’s impressive to watch the staff get things done. The food is always good, I make it a point to stop by at least once when I’m in town. It’s cheap but tasty!

My loyalty card didn’t get punched because I forgot to hand it out at the window? You’ll be called a liar and the staff will walk away if you ask seconds later!! My sweet disabled Mother is trying to eat better and they couldn’t even re-make a salmon plate for her all because she couldn’t check it at the window immediately!! It was 95 degrees outside, she has NO A/C, and yeah.. she’s stuck with fish that tastes like soapy dishwasher she said!!! Awful, disappointing, sad, depressing, and just rude!! Why do this to loyal customers? Why?! Just stop it and DO the right thing!!! Don’t make excuses!! You never have any clue how much brighter the days could be for us who just want customer service done CORRECTLY!! Oh, and call in to complain? They HANG up!!

I have eaten for years at Nara’s. I have never had to wait like I did tonight. The young lady taking orders for people walking in is very rude and inappropriate. Really had a snobby attitude. Waited 30 minutes on food, lady ahead of me had waited 41 minutes. When she ask how much longer the waitress acted snobby and said I don’t know. She really acted like a batch. I said well ill just take my money back. She then proceeded to ask me my name. To get my ticket. At which time the other waitress said hers is on the grill. I said is it on the grill. She said it doesn’t matter you want to leave. Rude is not the word for it. Don’t know if I will ever come back. I know you are busy. But as a customer, I am and I am sure others are getting tired of the excuses for poor service. We have heard this for 3 years from consumers. Getting very old.

When we ordered in the drive thru yesterday morning at lunchtime, I order a shrimp & chicken combo and the owner who was at the drive thru window gave me the wrong order which I don’t really wanted and it’s supposed to come with shrimp sauce add to it (for free) on the order because I ALWAYS get combo meal with Shrimp Sauce in a container. I won’t return to this restaurant again because it’s slow and has terrible customer service
