Food is delicious. Staff is great. And Chef Deanna is amazing! We have been 3 times since we found out about this place 1 week ago. Add this restaurant to your list of place you must go especially if you’re vegan. Even if you aren’t vegan this restaurant will make you realize you can be.

One of my favorite restaurants for Caribbean vegan fusion food. Voxtails are one of my families favorites. Customer service is amazing. Food can be a little pricey but, it’s worth it for the quality, flavor and freshness. The spicy lemonades are a favorite of mine too. You won’t be disappointed.

Vegan Jamaican Oxtail was very good. A bit salty but good. The rice n peas were amazing! Giving 4 stars due to this dishing being on pricey side $22. Overall great service n great food.

This was my first visit to Island Fusion Grill and I definitely plan on coming back again. There are so many unique menu items, and it’s ALL vegan so it’s very exciting. We really wanted to try the “papas rellenas” but they were sold out, so we went with our 2nd choice for an appetizer and got the “vonch fritters” which is their version of conch fritters. It was crisp and fried to perfection and full of flavor and had great texture in each and every bite, it was served a spicy dipping sauce which really brought all the flavor together. For entrees, it was hard to pick just 2 to try, they all were so intriguing. We did manage to narrow it down to just 2 (as we know we will definitely be back again to try the others) and we picked the “coconut curried jackfruit” and the “mushroom ropa veija”. Both entrees came with a choice of 2 Island inspired sides. We chose “rice and peas” (counts as one) mixed veggies and plantains (because the sweet is a nice contrast to the island spice). I was most excited to try the coconut curried jackfruit, and it might have been the driving force that brought me to be eating here now, and it did not disappoint! It was one of the most flavorful dishes I have eaten in quite some time, the coconut curry was so on point, and the jackfruit was textured so well, I am not sure I have ever had a dish quite like this. The mushroom ropa veija was not far behind, this dish featured shredded mushroom made with cumin and other island spice to create a dish that was authentic and unique in flavor and out of this world on taste. The sides were also really good, as mentioned we had the rice and peas which had a real authentic taste and the mixed veggies were steamed and spiced well, while the plantains were fried up crisp to perfection and full of flavor. We tried the “fusion pepper sips” our 1st choice was sold out so we tried the strawberry jalapeño and the scotch bonnet mango pineapple, they were both fresh and spicy and sweet, and full of flavor. There is not a bite of food or a sip of drink left when we were done, which is good and bad, while the food was incredible, we did feel that for the price, the portions could have been a bit more plentiful, especially being that this was a counter service restaurant that lacked the ambiance and neighborhood location that demands the prices we paid. Our bill for 2 people that included 2 drinks (non alcoholic) , 1 appetizer and 2 entrees was close to $70, which we just felt was a little high for the portions and the neighborhood and lack of ambiance. So that is only reason why I am not giving this restaurant 5 stars, and I am giving it 4 stars. The quality and taste of the food and unique menu items will definitely have me coming back to try again. We just might order a little differently next time. All in all, authentic, unique, fresh and flavorful vegan food, gets 2 vegan

This is a hidden gem. Located inside a humble strip mall you will find the best vegan Caribbean home cooking stateside. You can’t go wrong with the Voxtails if you like a savory “meaty” dish. The coconut curried jackfruit was the perfect combo of savory and sweet. The Vonch fritters were amazing and the cowboy caviar was fresh and tasty. We drove to Davie from Miami because we were looking for something different and we were not disappointed. Sooo good. You can taste the love in every bite.

Maybe we got them on an EXTREMELY off day. But it was just NOT it. My hubby and I paid $75 for microwaved food. They MICROWAVE the food, and charge fresh food prices.
