A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Captain D’s was surprisingly good. I had not visited the store in years (3 to 4 years) and found that the fish was quite good, considering that it is fast food. It was quite quiet during my visit and I enjoyed that. The lady that took my order was an excellent customer service person. She was helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back. Next time I will bring a book and read for a while afterward because the place has a relaxed vibe.

It took all I had to stay calm during my interaction with the young man at the window while waiting for my order. One person took my order and money, then I guess a shift change happened. I had to honk my horn to ask how much longer my food would take. Straight attitude for no reason. I will NEVER go back to that location!

I have always loved Captain D’s batter dipped fish, I went in to treat myself, I don’t eat it much anymore because I’m trying to eat healthier, I love the fish, hush puppies, the broccoli was pretty good ,I love the the tartar sauce it’s original none like it, I wish it didn’t have all the grease .

It’s ashamed these lazy young ppl will get paid when several customers in drive thru and take out had their orders messed up after waiting extra long. Some staff just walked around and some cussing while customers present. They need to be fired and not paid for being rude to customers. You never know who’s watching and taking note. Never really know who a customer really is when they arrive. Just a bunch of ignorance in one place. They need a real manager at WOODLAWN location or else permanently close it up.

So I pulled up before 11:00 I pulled up before 10:50 and sat there and nobody came to the drive thru speaker to even let me know that they had clothes and they don’t even close until 11:00 so my feelings is hurt because I’m pregnant y’all and I was kind of craving some Captain D’s with that being said they have truly lost a customer in me like I sat in the parking lot and typed my review just now.. like no lie.. the manager when I pulled to the window at like she ain’t even see me like I was completely invisible she just stood there and just counted the drawers all I wanted was some Calabash shrimp

Poor Customer Service. Received uncooked chicken and missing items from a meal, and did not receive drink with order. After driving 30 minutes across town with my family that was helping me move to my new apartment, I was told that the manager on duty did not have refund authorization and a refund would be processed on the ensuing day and could not be done that evening. The next morning I return, WITH THE FOOD, only to be offered replacement/vouchers and no monetary compensation. Jeff graham refused to give me my money back, and this is my response is stead of causing a scene. I am irate, and will seek further compensation.

It feels wrong to give the service a one star but I’ll explain. I came here twice. The first time was okay. Good communication good food. If you want that come around night time. But if you want the worst service come in the day time when the kids and teenagers are there. I tried to order and this girl with huge glasses comes and is on the phone with someone. I ask can I order and she then goes “I love you I love you I love you” while hugging the mic. I look at the chef and another girl is on the phone. If you ask me do yourself a favor and avoid the day shift. You ain’t get a order in and you just be confused by how unprofessional the hiring Manger is based on the kids they hired for the day shift. The only reason they get two stars is cause the night shift ACTUALLY DID THEIR JOB!!!!!

I was happily surprised when I saw oysters on the menu! I ordered a dozen. When my order arrived everything seemed hot and fresh. However the oysters were spoiled! I called the location and was told I would have to request a refund through Door Dash. This surprised me since DD did their job promptly and courteously. So, I just told the manager to check his supply before sending any more oysters out to customers. I ended up having a side of okra for dinner…
