The shrimp and grits were flavored well. The creamy Cajun sauce was great, and the grits paired well with everything. The service was perfect. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. They had live music, and it wasn’t loud and overpowering your conversation, which was nice. Overall a good experience.

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming location of this hidden local gem. We’ve lived a few miles away for years and saw it in passing all the time, but never thought to check it out. Well, some of our friends recommended it to us, so now I’m passing on that good recommendation (and also quietly kicking myself for not trying it sooner!!).

Don’t be fooled by the low key atmosphere – the food is incredible! The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. The service was fast. Most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS. We’ve been to a lot of different restaurants around Raleigh that have a much more high class atmosphere where the food wasn’t nearly as delicious. Extra props to the staff members who could be seen washing down the chairs and fixing wobbly chairs with a power drill. This place seems like the owners treat their staff well and the chef cares about putting out high quality exceptional food. 10/10 would recommend this hidden gem.
