Four people on duty, line backed up for drive thru orders, some people coming in and out charging cell phone on their luggage, and we waited about 20 minutes for our order. We counted 9 fries in the dinner box.

We came at 8:30 pm. First thing was the three huge trash cans piled mile high with trash , right in the doorway. The young girl had to use her fingers to count out 16.00. We saw fish, chicken, fries and hush puppies in boxes on the metal table. Open, no cover and getting cold by the second. They served us out of the food that was lying in the boxes. When I asked about it he threw some fries in the grease. The kitchen was so nasty. I went to get my drink and an ant was floating in my drink. Nasty place. Never again will we stop by here

We were traveling to Tennessee and stopped in for a late dinner. There was a child waking on the counter with no shoes or socks on…waiting for the girl to take our order she just looks at us and never says anything, so I asked are you ready to take our order? She was unable to answer any questions when ordering…There was only one other table in the restaurant but yet our order took at least 10 minutes and the order was wrong and the food was some of the worst I’ve ever had!!! Horrible experience overall!!!

LJS has always been one of our very favorites for over forty years and we have eaten at this location in London about once a month for many many years. It used to be very busy and popular. However last three times we have been there in last couple months, we have dined alone, with the exception of one more customer and this was at 12:00 noon, right at mealtime. There were also no drive thru pick ups last time we were there. We have always had good service there and decent size servings until our experience last week. We ordered two three piece fish with slaw, huspuppies, cole slaw and two small drinks. It was only pennys away from $30.00 for the two of us. The fish was best we have ever eaten there, hands down. It was very crisp, fresh, and not greasy at all as it usually is. All the food was delicious , so they must have a great cook. Our complaint was, the divided plates are very shallow and we only had a good teaspoon each of coleslaw and 10 small French fries each, I counted. Is that the reason for shallow dishes ?What’s the deal ? $30 for two people to eat and leave hungry ? We had two bites of slaw each. Also there was only one customer in there dining. He was very upset and told my husband as he passed by, I hope you all don’t need extra ketchup or salt because they charged me for it and I will never be back here !! I don’t think he lied cause they could hear him. They had only given us two small packets ketchup and two salts. No pump anymore. However after he left we did need more ketchup and I went and asked and they gave it to me, no problem. Only complaint we have is the prices have shot up ridiculously, and not a thimble full of slaw and fries. Used to we could not even clean our plates. I understand why the dining area empty there at lunch time. I mean if you are going to charge a fortune, at least give a decent amount like you always had before ! It’s sure not like they had any customers and were going to run out !! Very disappointed. Way they are going this place will close down.

So for whatever reason I decided I wanted Long John Silvers today. I guess after not going there since 2016 I had forgotten my last experience there or more like I hoped after all this time it would be better. I knew I had probably made a mistake when the girl in the drive thru ” Amber D” according to the name on my receipt, had a tone in her voice that did not deny the fact that she was having a bad day possibly and she was not happy I was there, although I certainly seemed to be the only customer there from what I could see inside from the drive thru. I had ordered the big platter (2 fish, 3 chicken and shrimp) thinking maybe I could have some for lunch the next day. Well, regardless what I paid for, what I got was 3 pieces of chicken and some coleslaw that was dry as a bone. I guess they had to cut back on mayonnaise to make sure they got quality employees that know what they are doing. Needless to say, it will be longer than 7 years if I ever go back and I really cant imagine that I ever will. Captain D’s Please!

Grew up eating it, so can’t eat any other fish places. Takes me back to childhood. Amazing fish, hush puppies still the same, crumbs in every meal, chicken is great and shrimp, mmmmmmm. Love this place.

One of their female employees left the restroom stall after flushing the toilet and did not wash her hands. I find that very interesting when it’s clearly posted that all employees MUST wash their hands before leaving that restroom. Maybe she washed them in the kitchen, but who knows. I came out quickly and she was in the kitchen near all of the food super fast if she did wash them in there.
