At our Cayce, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The lady at the window heard me asking my grandmother what she wanted to eat over the intercom and offered us the senior citizens discount based on the conversation. She also reminded me of the senior discount on Sunday and Wednesday. Exceptional customer service!!

Staff was short handed, I gave the leader/manager up front a big thumbs up. New employee, on the front line (alone), and the crowd is building (lunch time). The leader calmly encourages her new hire to take a breath and do the best she can. BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO! It’s not easy working in the service industry, of any kind now a days. God bless.

First time at this location. Their drive up widow had 5 or 6 in line so we went inside. Order took a little longer than another location we visit, but considering line service was good. My 2 PC fish was good, but the hushpuppies were cold, and the green beans were lukewarm. Also frustrating was that the drink machine was not working, so we had water.

The fried fish was AWESOME! It wasn’t greasy but cooked to perfection! I felt sorry for the person in drive-thru. 1st she had to help at the front end as well as the drive-thru, then had to go help the cook get the orders in order. The other lady up front was very slow and seemed to be confused.

Food was good. I do not enjoy having the self service drink and condiment station unavailable. The little single serving cups are just to small to get a decent dip.

The lady at the window was very polite and gave us everything without seeming like she was rushing or irritated, which is refreshing these days with the current state of customer service. The food on the other hand was skimpy, greasy and BLAND. The only thing that was good enough to actually eat was the fish. The fries were stone cold.

The food isn’t bad and it is quick. Service is good. I do wish the meal prices included a drink. They advertise a meal for less than $5, but that isn’t the case once a drink is added. They remodeled this location not too long ago and it really does look so much nicee.

Had a very enjoyable dining experience with a friend. We also met the General manager Pam, who is doing a fantastic job. While we were there dining Pam was all over the restaurant, cleaning the dining area, helping at the counter, stocking the drink station and helping out on drive thru and she found time to come by the table to ask if we were happy with everything. Great job Pam. The crew was attentive and friendly and service was quick. Our food came out hot and delicious. The restaurant was clean and organized and bathrooms were clean too. Everyone was busy doing their jobs and making sure the customers were happy. It rare these days to see a GM leading the way for her crew to follow. We had a very enjoyable dining experience! Great job folk’s and thanks to the General manager Pam for her hard work and for not being a mainstay hides in the office. Can’t wait to visit y’all again!
