A hidden gem off the main way in Greenfield, Hope & Olive is a perfect example of what makes Greenfield special. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and delicious. H&O uses locally sourced ingredients whenever they can and the food is as fresh as can be. The dishes can be anything from traditional to inspired. Everyone on staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. Either everybody here is a regular or maybe they just treat all comers as a regular. I left here feeling nourished and well looked after. The prices are not cheap but they do reflect the excellence of the ingredients and the kitchen staff. The bar is full of surprises: good mixologists are hard to come by. Mocktails are plentiful, as are vegetarian and vegan options.

I had a lovely lunch at Hope and Olive and a “mocktail.” You can order half a sandwich and a salad. I had the delicious crab BLT and a side salad. Hope and Olive also supports charity and community organizations. I contributed to the local PTA when I paid for my lunch.

Wonderful selection of meals and drinks. The service was wonderful. They have a waiting area where you can sit and order drinks or just hangout while you’re waiting for a table to be available.

Living 45 minutes from Greenfield. We attempt to go to H&O ~4x a year minimal. The food is exceptional! From appetizers, drinks, Greek salad (best we ever had) and you cannot go wrong with any entree choice. If you like a tasty, spicy seafood dish.. you have to have the Jambalaya! The manager, Steve is first class!

Food and drinks were phenomenal! Service was exceptional! Make reservations for weekends. Been there twice, once for brunch (no reservations needed that morning, sat at the bar on a Sunday @11:00am) and once for dinner on a Saturday night. Packed both times with a line waiting to open.

Great food, good color on the produce. New England sourced. Fantastic service, Mike was very attentive and charismatic. Most important, great taste. I highly recommend.

Edit: Update my review to three stars as I went again for dinner last weekend. The Brazilian fish stew is very salty especially the cod. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to taste like idk? Crème brûlée is overly sweet and the sugar is too thick. It’s my fav dessert but prob the only time I couldn’t finish it. My friend enjoyed his steak salad very much maybe I just had bad luck picking the right thing from the menu.

Made a reservation 1 month in advance, arrived on time for a dinner with friends whom we don’t see often. Wanted a leisurely dinner. Were constantly hovered over and were told after ordering our appetizers to basically “speed things up” the waitress then told us were were fine to take our time. While eating our dessert a woman approached and asked us to “finish up because she had another party to seat” It was a $300 dollar tab. I got the steak tips which were tough and more of a London broil cut rather then sirloin tips, the Kale was bitter and tough as well. The root veggies were delicious along with the mashed potatoes. Our appetizers were great along with the drinks. To bad (who turned out to be the owner’s wife) ruined ever going back there again. I’ve never been treated like that in what is supposed to be a fine dining experience. Completely disgusted. I’ve NEVER written a bad review either. You’re supposed to be able to enjoy your meal without feeling pressured to hurry up and get out so someone else can sit… Very Unfortunate as I was looking forward to eating here for a long time.
