I’ve been eating at Mezeh since they first opened in Plymouth Meeting. The food and service was good in the beginning but a few months ago every time I’d go there they would be out of dishes that I like so I’d settle for whatever they had. I had actually stopped going because I wasn’t satisfied with settling for dishes or incomplete meals. I decided to give them another try today at lunch and I was so disappointed in the food service and atmosphere. They were out of 4 items that I would eat, the dressing had so much water in it that it made my entire meal soggy and the restaurant was so hot that we were sweating. There was clearly something wrong with the air conditioning. They gave a courtesy drink and the one that I got tasted like sour berries. On top of my meal being soggy because of the watered-down dressing, it wasn’t fresh at all. I wished that I had left after waiting 20 minutes to order. Horrible experience.

I really liked the food. The service would get no stars though as the person behind the counter had literally no idea how to handle my dairy allergy. She literally sent her away in tears. Absolutely disgraceful. All she had to do was to say there’s an allergen menu on line. We found it, easily corrected my wife’s order, but there was no need to be as rude as she was. The restaurant also has very limited non-stool seating so beware.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could, the food was horrible, tasted like rubber, and the employees treat you like trash, this place should shut down immediately. It is terrible and just a disgrace. All the employees don’t even deserve the job, they don’t know how to act, how to make food, or how to treat customers. I’m shocked how this place is still running, it’s horrible, and the smell in the place is awkward. Absolutely pathetic, food isn’t even worth a dime.

The staff displayed a lack of proficiency and professionalism in handling and communicating with us, resulting in our order being incorrect twice, necessitating the placement of two separate orders. Additionally, they mixed vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items together, further exacerbating the situation. The final order prepared by the staff member was both incorrect and poorly executed. We endured a waiting time of over half an hour extra, only to receive a subpar pizza for the initial mistake which was a non-vegetarian pizza instead of a vegetarian. In summary, our overall experience was far from satisfactory due to the inadequate customer service provided.

The service is really awful. I am extremely patient with service workers, I used to be one and I know how tough it is. I gave this place a few chances thinking maybe it was a bad day, I get that. But every staff member I encounter is so hostile and SLOW. No sense of urgency, even if you have been very patiently waiting for your food. Unless I’m about to starve to death, I won’t ever be back.

Terrible. Only ones on Friday lunch hour. The Spanish guy working the counter doesn’t understand English when we are picking items for our bowls. We ended up eating it since we paid $40 but felt not satisfied since we had to leave a lot out that we did not ask for! If you want to pay cheap and hire workers with non fluent English working, then please close your doors. Communication is everything and you have clearly missed out! What a waste. Don’t recommend.

I’ve been here several times and while the food is usually good the service is underwhelming. Tonight there were no pitas to go with the bowls. I was disappointed as this is part of the meal and we are paying for it – no alternatives or discounts were offered. Additionally the restaurant itself is uncomfortably hot.
