If you think you will get authentic Indian food then you won’t. They have very limited vegetarian options and they have their own style of making the Indian style food. The food was ready good and tasty but again nothing near to how Indian food tastes. Servers are really good and will take care of you.

This “new” location is much better suited to the easy going Trini “liming” culture being fostered at Flambo. Right in the gayborhood, reservations on date night are probably recommended. Convenient parking on the street and an neighboring lot. There’s a small bar near the main door that has standard tropical drinks, top shelf liquor and Caribbean beers (Carib and Red Stripe). The main dining area has several high top and regular tables that accommodate two to eight easily. Warm, subtle decor hints at the tropics but the music that draws you in is 90% Trinidad and Tobago.

Celebrated my birthday here and I was so happy Loveeeeeeeeeeeeed this experience The owner was so personable and the staff are very attentive. The jerk wings are authentic and drinks were delicious. I’m from Washington DC and never had any Caribbean experience like this before I ordered the Oxtail and red beans and rice plus the roti.

This fish broth was my initial start on a cold day and let me tell you is was a burst of flavor and so satisfying after coming in from the cold. And next I had seafood Paella and this was Spain in a plate done in Caribbean style. The food was simply delicious. I am happy I listened to my friend that recommended Flambo. Great food and lovely service. Kevin was a joy! We love his attention to details.

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary this week. We had a massage at the one of the hotels close by and decided to pick up take out at this restaurant on our way home. I should have known from the moment I walked in to walk out. We get home and I couldn’t believe what we received for $60.00 worth of dinner. I sent these exact pictures to a friend and her response was “where’s the rest”? Moral of this review, this place is trash. Don’t waste your time or money.

I’ve always loved Flambo but since they’ve changed locations – it’s become one of my favorite restaurants. Not only is the food the perfect blend of several tantalizing and flavorful food cultures but the service is unmatched. I went for my birthday and they made my experience feel special when every other center city restaurant felt slammed. I tried their traditions menu which featured 1 starters, 2 small plates, 2 entrees and dessert for only $50 per person. As soon as we were done one dish, another one was on their way. Already thinking about the next time I can go back!
