We were celebrating our anniversary. The food and service were great. We also loved their special touches. Because I made a reservation online noting that we were celebrating our anniversary, they personalized our menus and gave us one to keep. They also gave us a complimentary dessert. It was really sweet and memorable. We’d definitely dine there again.

Amazing food, great ambiance, perfect Service! I took my girlfriend and parents out for a nice dinner, while my parents were in town. Wasn’t sure exactly where to take them, wanted to impress my GF and parents, yet have a place we could all find somethign we liked ion the menu and also have a greta ambiance to talk and enjoy each others company. We had never been to M & S before, and we were impressed the entire way. Our waiter, Huger, was just amazing, we never had to ask for anythign, he was always knew what we needed before we could ask. The desserts were simply to die for! We orderd the “The Chocolate Bag”(see attached picture), the Chocolate Silk Pie and the Upside Down Apple Pie! WoW! We all left happy and full. We defintiely will be back. Thanks!

I can only speak for the speak for the happy hour which is a great deal and goes until 9 on weekdays. Good variety of food options and each is nice and cheap so you can grab several to share. Great specials on cocktails to go with it. Service was fast and friendly. The food itself was mediocre and would be disappointing at full price. Fish tacos were a standout, but skip the calamari which was over 50% filler (carrots, banana peppers, artichokes). They also validate parking in the attached garage.

To start i want to say the food was very good. We did not have an excellent experience in the area of customer service though. We went for the veteran’s day event. It was advertised as a free meal for active duty, veterans, and gold star family members (parents and spouse). I am currently active duty and I planned to attend with my spouse, but on arrival when I asked, they said no just the servicemember gets a meal contrary to what was advertised on the giant sign I was standing right next to. I appreciate when restaurants try to do something to give back, so I didn’t press any further into it and I just ended up paying for the food. However, it makes a very bad impression to advertise one thing, but not follow through on the offer. If you only want to give this benefit to the serving member, advertise it that way. Besides that, the waiter for our table was very inattentive and failed to bring our drinks on time and didn’t bring out the bread until we asked and even then we didn’t get it until after our meal arrived. The place was not busy whatsoever at roughly 1 pm on a Sunday. They were open outside their normal hours for the veterans day event. The food was very good, but overall the experience was less than excellent and I was extremely underwhelmed. I would probably never return.

I don’t have a desk job, so happy hour going till 9 is key. They have $3, $5, $7, and $9 menu options. The drinks were very well priced at $6. I regularly come here specifically for the happy hour burger. This place is good for a date, group of friends, or business meeting. Tasty food. Also recommend the fish tacos.

What happened? We used to LOVE this place when we lived in DC. We came back and decided we had to go there to celebratensure my husband’s 40th. The service was horrible, the food wasn’t good… I mean, when the potatoes are the only delicious thing on your plate, something is wrong. Our 3 person table walked away $190 poorer and our bellies weren’t that happy. There is nothing worse than shelling out that kind of cash and feeling ripped off. 🙁 I may try to contact the company. They have a serious issue. We wondered why the restaurant wasn’t full. Avoid this place!

After seating ourselves in the bar area, we sat for 25 minutes before going to the host stand to see where the server was. After our waiter came over, he took our drink order, and returned 10 minutes later with a beer and a glass of wine. We asked for a couple minutes to finish deciding on our entrees, and again, he took about 10 minutes to return. We placed our food order, an app and side, and a steak dinner, medium. When we finally received our food, one bite into the steak proved it was cooked well done. It was rubbery, and was served with 4 pieces of asparagus, and a roasted tomato–for almost $30. It was absolutely ridiculous, but after having waited almost an hour up to this point, we decided to hurry to finish our meals and get out of the place. We were told that parking would be validated, but when we went downstairs, there was a line of cars waiting to get out the garage with a security guard screaming at the drivers as if the issue with the gate was their fault. When I pulled up to the gate, he continued to talk over me as I was talking to the intercom because there was an issue with my ticket. He was rude, and unprofessional. We live about a mile from this restaurant and will absolutely never return- and will pass on that message to friends and coworkers in the area.

The good: the happy hour specials last until 9 on a weekday and the are plenty of tasty small plates, and a cheeseburger, on this menu to satisfy everyone. There is a little outside spot but I imagine it fills up at peak time. The bad: parking situation is not best and the service can be iffy outside. Pleasant staff but a bit of wait.

One of the worst restaurants we have ever been. Total management failure in assigning the correct staff for a bigger party. 13 people at the table and one waiter who did not have the slightest clue to serve this many people. We had to ask for everything item by item. They did not have couple of main items in the menu and did not let us know until ordering time. Absolute disaster. They ruined our special gathering.
