We had an AMAZING experience at Bitterroot. The restaurant has the most wonderful atmosphere and the food is nothing we’ve tasted in who knows when. The ingredients are impeccably fresh, the food is made to order from the beautifully sourced ingredients and the taste delivers! I had the Crawfish Tom Yum which was delightful, my husband had the Crab Spaghetti that he enjoyed very much and my best friend had the Salmon over Lemon Risotto. For dessert we enjoyed a cheesecake which was incredible as well. Our waiter Nicolas was a real gem ensuring we were well taken care of, our dietary needs were met and answered all of our questions regarding the restaurant’s history and chefs. I cannot tell you in words how fabulous this place is but you MUST go try it for yourself. We will be revisiting this location again at our next visit for sure. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Made reservations for Father’s Day brunch. The service was very good. At no point did we have to ask for anything. They kept our drinks filled. Food was delicious. Waygu burger was the best. Crab Benedict was very flavorful. Short ribs in the Heuvos Rancheros melted in your mouth. Suggest the Whipped Ricotta for app. Dessert was bread pudding and Chocolate Strawberry Mousse. Both were delicious. Love the atmosphere inside. We are local and will definitely be back for dinner.

So good we had to come back and eat here again the next day. Everything is absolutely heavenly, especially the crab brûlée dip. The wagyu burger is the best burger I have ever had. Awesome waiters/waitresses and some of the tastiest cocktails I’ve ever had in Destin. I can’t wait to come back!!

I’m not kidding – Bitterroot was probably the best food my husband and I have had in YEARS. We absolutely loved it, and the staff (particularly our waitress Diane) were so sweet. It was my birthday while on our honeymoon, and the restaurant gave us on the house cake and champagne. Our drinks (lushy and low tide) were so tasteful and not overdone, as a lot of bars do. The entrees were to die for, and the staff knows about their products and ingredients IN DEPTH. Amazed by this place! 100/10 would come back here and give all of our money to them. Worth every cent.

This is mine and my husbands favorite date night spot. Tonight we started with burrata, empanada and arancini. For dinner we had the swordfish and the short rib. Everything was incredible. Chef Chadwick is one of a kind.

Everything is perfect. We ordered the Nutty Goat flatbread, braised short ribs, 5 pepper shrimp, and the chocolate mousse cake, accompanied by drinks from the bar ($5 wine on happy hour). All phenomenal. The service is wonderful. Kat knew the menu inside and out and our water cup never stayed empty for more than 30 seconds. It’s a comfortable, laid back, inviting atmosphere. I am in a food coma as I write this. If you’re weighing this against another restaurant in the area, this is your sign to check out Bitterroot. We will definitely be back.

Delicious and creative dinner!! The crab Brule was yummy but the arancini were the best we ever had, made with mushroom risotto!! Amazing! Also lived the short ribs on coconut rice and the shrimp tom yum. Finished with the carrot cake topped with candied carrots, wow!

Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and warm, with dim lighting and rustic decor that perfectly complements the delicious food.

Great restaurant! Perfect for a date night. The staff was super accommodating and was the perfect amount of attentiveness. The whipped ricotta dip was an awesome appetizer and the salmon florentine dip was a great entree. The bartender also whipped up a great old fashion!
