Can’t vouch for the tequila, but El Diablo’s tacos are excellent, especially on Taco Tuesday when they are buy 2, get 1 free! Lots of street taco varieties, from the usual fare (al Pastor pork, chicken, shrimp, etc) to the uncommon (skirt steak, octopus, and a delicious mushroom taco). They also have a few drink specials on Tuesdays. The service on a recent (slow) Tuesday afternoon felt more like a soft-opening, but it was not enough to keep me coming back to sample all of their offerings (will still probably skip the tequila). Definitely going into the Taco Tuesday rotation!

My husband and I came for a date night and sat at the bar (there’s 2 bar areas, both so nice). He got the carnita tacos and they were DELICIOUS. The margarita was strong and tasty. The decor and atmosphere was great. There was live music and they asked if we’d like to sit near the music or at the other bar area which I appreciated. We loved the music. They told us a lot of the art and murals on the walls were from a local tattoo artist. We will be back!

The first thing is that this place looks fantastic on the outside and the inside. Starting with the food. It was good, not great, but still good. The menu is small but that “should” allow for better quality items. It is my opinion that the chips you start out with are out of a bag and warmed up. The same goes for the toasted tortilla/tostada that comes with the civiche. It was cold and you could tell it was store bought. Both the chips and tostada were tasty but not fresh. I had one appetizer, and it was delicious! I highly recommend the Chicharon Tuna. Everything in there was good and tasted fresh. Moving on to tacos. The tortillas are real corn, fresh, slightly soft with a crisp, and very tasty. Tacos were great, I’d go again just for those. Atmosphere…again this place looks fantastic! At the time, about half the place was closed off. Looks like there is a place for live entertainment. Possibly dancing and what might be a dj booth. There are a few tvs streaming random shows. Those TVs could be great for some sports if you’re having some tequila at the bar. The one thing that was nothat good was the volume of the music. While it was good music and entertaining. It was too loud. We could barely have a conversation across the booth sized table. The service was decent. Very nice and checked up on us at good intervals. Had to ask for some things a couple of times, but hey, they were a little busy, and that’s understandable.

If you’re looking for a great mixed drinks, this is the right place. Currently the atmosphere is a little bit confusing. When you walk in from one side, it is very dark the other side is bright open and more cafeteria style. Unfortunately when we went there, the steak tacos were very chewy and they were out of a lot of things on the menu, we were also served shot glasses as our water cups and the ac was not blowing cold air. We had no napkins at our table and we were not served any napkins during the whole entire dinner until requested. I want this place to be successful but for the price we received an average Mexican restaurant experience.

Love what they have done with this place. Very bright, vibrant and fun atmosphere. Most of all the food is amazing. Very authentic with amazing flavors. A great addition to cocoa village. Our waitress, Gabriella, was so sweet and efficient as well.

Siiiiii! We LOVE trying new Mexican restaurants, and we’re especially happy when new concepts come to our backwards small town. Excellent food and AMAZING atmosphere. Gabriella was an incredible server. We had tostados diablo tuna and chimichangas, and the flavor was OUTSTANDING! Some of the best tuna I’ve EVER tasted. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of sear. The green salsa was phenomenal. Don’t miss the decor too, which is tasteful yet innovative, featuring fun backlit tequila humor. There’s a house tequila called Naked Diablo in añejo or reposado that’s excellent. Don’t miss the crazy drink menu that features tequila-based margaritas, of course, and surprisingly, Cosmos and Old Fashioned! Great time, excellent atmosphere. You’ll love this place. Park in public parking a block away.

Ok… so here’s the thing… we LOVE this restaurant and REALLY want it to succeed and thrive. That’s why I’m going to write an honest review about our meal last night! (Hoping that management will read this and take into consideration! ) I’m not just a customer with an opinion, I’ve opened and managed many successful restaurants all over the country (both private and chain) and I know many secrets to success.
