Great food, drinks are made well, beer is cold and stays cold, and Nicole is very personable. Nice little find today. Will definitely be back!

First time eating here. Good food and portion sizes. Service was a little slow because of a large party in the bar, but worth the wait. I had a breaded tenderloin that was delicious (very moist and thick, fit the bun perfectly). Also, had the Bruin burger (came with a fried egg), southwestern chicken wrap, and 10″ deluxe pizza (thin crust only). Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted very good.

Great food, and atmosphere. Couldn’t have had any nicer people working there. All around great experience and really enjoyed ourselves. The management went above and beyond to find us a table, and we were able to enjoy the live band. Unfortunately, we were near a speaker and couldn’t hear each other talk, but that was on us for not getting there earlier. Had breaded mushrooms for app and mushroom swiss burger, and both were to perfection. Tenderloins and Salads also were great. Thank you!

Based on this being a “bar” type restaurant, I was expecting this review to be a 3 or 4 Star. I don’t expect them to be “awesome”. However, if you want similar food to what is on the menu, Kroger has it and you can heat it in the oven for the same experience. The under age waitress was in a pickle because she was not able to bring any drinks to the table. And nobody else did, do we never got them. The manager never came out saying they were under staffed. With only 4 tables, they were under staffed. Maybe that’s when you just don’t open your doors for the night. Again, good service will cover a multitude of bad food. And service is on the leader/manager/owner to train their staff in the foods they serve, how to recommend what is good, how to serve their customers. Not an experience we wanted on our 29th anniversary, but at least we got to experience it together.

The staff was amazing, friendly, fun, and made our brunch awesome. I’m surprised it wasnt busier because that place was awesome. The owner is funny and very kind, and she even gives the extra food after brunch to staff and their children, as well as local shelters.

We were at the Bruin House for dinner on 10/14/2019. the plates that we were give for our pizza were dirty, you could see and feel the old food still on the plate. The glasses had so much dried soap on the glasses it made the glasses look frosted (red glasses). I took pictures of the glasses. The soap taste came trough the taste of the water and Coke and stayed in your mouth and the back of your throat. The Staff, when we could get them to come by the table, said the dried soap was from the dish washer not working correctly. We had to ask for salad to be put on the salad bar, bowls for soup, spoons and crackers. Totally terrible experience. We will never go back and will be telling every one of our experience with The Bruin House. Giving this restaurant 0 stars is still to much of a compliment. To post this review, I am forced to give 1 star that is not deserved.

Friendly staff and casual inviting atmosphere. Food is great and nice portion sizes. The menu has all the Indiana staples, including big fried tenderloin, and amazing Patty Melt with beer-braised onions.

Slim selection on the food menu but the cook can actually cook making the best of what he has at his dispense back there he’s whipping up some magic for you to enjoy with your favorite beverage be it alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Food is expensive but very good and worth it. Bartenders seem to be fairly friendly. Management stalked the bar area which I didn’t not like, gave off an almost unwelcome kind of vibe even though I know there wasn’t any bad intentions but all the same it was still awkward and uncomfortable. Uncomfortablenes can be controlled via you’re alcohol consumption 🙂
