I would have given this place five stars, but the staff ignored us at the counter. I know there is a push to have everyone start using the kiosks, but I had a few questions. Eventually, a manager saw us there and took care of us. As far as reviewing the food, look, it’s McDonald’s. It is what it is. This place was very clean. The bathrooms were very clean.

When you ask for extra tartar sauce, I didn’t expect the fish fillet to be drowning in it. Why is it so hard to get your order correctly. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I asked for extra onion on a mcdouble a few months ago and they put a whole onion in it. Okay maybe not a whole onion, but it was a handful of onions. I know what you are thinking, I should have learned my lesson the first time.

I was at 2715 s. Signal Butte Rd Mesa, AZ 85209 I was in the drive thru at 5:50pm. My receipt shows I paid at 5:56pm. I was asked to pull to the first window. 6 cars behind me were given their food and left. I knocked on the window. No answer. I tried calling and it just rang and rang and rang. Finally I went around. Parked went in and the manger Kim was less than helpful. She told me my options were to wait for them to make my food OR she could refund me. I took the refund at 6:20pm! I can drive home, make a nice dinner before my food would be ready at this location. Horrible service! Horrible customer service!

Every time I go through drive through I get home and and short items. Today I was short also 1/2 my order. I went back(which I never do) and they finally gave me the rest of my order which included a McDonald’s bacon double. I get home and it’s plain. Literally nothing on it. I’m done I’ll drive the extra 3 miles rather than deal with this. You would think the franchise owner would step up and spend some time their training.

Manager and staff working on the night of July 7th 2023 were rude and careless when they decided to leave 2 drive thru lanes open 20 minutes prior to closing when they only utilized 1 of the lanes for drive thru orders. When a customer confronted them about it, the manager became frustrated and angry and said “I don’t care, we close in 20 minutes. They shouldn’t be coming in 20 minutes before we close.” He stated this right in front of us when we picked up our food from the drive thru. Note to store the manager, keep the staff trained on professionalism and when when not to have an outburst such as the one described above, especially in front of customers.

I know ots McDonalds and expectations should be low to start but they always take FOREVER to acknowledge your existence at the Drive thru ordering window and never sound thrilled to be at work and half the time forget to put sauces you ask for in the bag. This should be a great opportunity for management to train young people in the art of customer service so they can succeed as they grow. I worked at McDs 30 years ago at 15 years old and learned so much in my 6 months there before being hired as an intern for a desk job at a major insurance company.

The store is always a mess, the manager seems like he can’t handle anything and one of the reasons could be because they are never stocked up on anything. Also seems like the employees under him don’t have anything to do, when I see so much that could be done for the upkeep of a store (Wipe down tables/ drink station, stock, sweep floors.) The drink syrups are, majority of the time, empty or very low, ketchup also usually very low or gone. I’ve been here many times and only seen someone walk around to clean it, one time. Looks to be full of a bunch of lazy people.

We will NEVER go back. I ordered the new chicken sandwich that had lettuce and bacon. The chicken was way over cooked, almost black and you couldn’t even bite through it. My fiancé took it back to go get a refund and the manager used very inappropriate language around him and to their fellow colleague. The other employee tried to tell him at first that they don’t do refunds which is absolutely false. The manager proceeded to say “Don’t tell me how to do my job b$&ch”. My fiancé decided to get me regular cheeseburgers later on and the burgers were also way over cooked and the buns were folded into the paper. Maybe I’m picky because my fiancé is a chef, but it just seems like the food is way worse than the other locations.
