At our Huntsville, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

No customer service there was only one girl in the kitchen it was doing almost all the work everybody else was doing just a little bit working here and there God forbid if they actually help customers that were inside the dining room waiting to order I was just there for a doordash pickup still had to wait well over 15 minutes to get the order

Ordered the catfish plate which is supposed to be cooked to order. It was ready when I got to the window and in my opinion should not have been sold to any customer. Don’t order the catfish dinner . Went back for a big fish sandwich. Not sure why it was cold and had dark brown flakes on it. Do yall prioritize hot food? Like yall have to know this food isn’t edible when you sell it. How long has it been sitting for it to be cold when it’s handed to me?

Unfortunately this place needs new management or new staff…. Went to the drive through twice recently with the later time being the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever received. Was told to hold and no one came back in the speaker till I asked and then I was told they didn’t have any fish ready and I asked how long and I was told it would be “a while”. Then I asked could I still place an order and I received no response. Literally stayed in the drive through line for 10-15 minutes for nothing…. I guess this place will be closing down soon if its owners and management don’t resolve some serious issues soon.

Do not go to this place after 5pm because you will not get good service or fresh food. I ask for for fresh fish and it was cooked hard and was not fresh. But on top of that they were out of there #1 selling fish and the fish that they give you for replacement is hard it has a funny smell to it and it is not a real fish texture it is nasty. It taste like rubber. They can at least tell the customers that they are out of the regular fish so we as the consumer can choose if we want something else on the menu or nothing at all..Then when i get back my office because I went on my 30 min lunch break. I’m upset because I tired to eat it and it’s like the texture of rubber or even their chicken and we know that’s not how real fish taste. I know I’m not the only one that is has happen too.

I ordered to go a fish, lobster bites, & 4 butterfly shrimp meal with green beans & okra. A big fish sandwich & 4 butterfly shrimps & 4 lobster bites on the side. Was missing one order of lobster bites, green beans had macaroni & cheese pieces in them. The green beans was cold & nasty. The fish was small & had black specks all over them. I called & told them I was coming back the next day for my lobster bites that was left out bc I was not getting back out. Never even complained about the fish or green beans. Went back up there & talked to a cashier. I couldn’t even say everything before she took off to the manager with my receipt. The manager yelled out,” ask her what she is missing?” I said, “I was trying to say it,but she took off. The lobster bites.” The manager yelled, “people are getting on my nerves.” She stayed in the back the whole time. The food was not good like it use to be and the managers attitude explains the horrible food & service. Haven’t been to Capitan D’s since they stopped giving out coupons & my fish was horrible at another store. Now I definitely will never be returning.
