I am giving ZERO stars to this place, in order to post this review, I have to give at least 1 star within this format. Initially I ordered 3 combos to go and they tried to charge me for 4. The staff in general looked like they were angry for me to even be there, but the girl who took the order was especially rude. They blocked off the entrance so you have to order from outside the front door over a large table and they all kept a distance like I had the plague…the pandemic is over. Now on to the food itself. I ordered the Beef Ho Fun which is the wide flat rice noodle, which has been a favorite of mine over the years. When it’s prepared properly it’s truly a tasty meal. Well, when I opened the container, it looked bad right from the start. I took my fork to jab a noodle, but when I did it was hard as a rock. I pushed the fork deep into the plastic container and withdrew one huge gelatinous clump of Ho Fun noodles that weren’t even cooked. How on earth they plated that food to serve is beyond comprehension, they must have no pride at all. Further more, the beef seemed rancid and the veggies were few and far between not to mention they were far from fresh. The other combos were for two teenage boys that will eat anything put before them. The beef and broccoli and the orange chicken meals were discarded and barely eaten. They immediately had the same response that I had, pure disgust. Please stay away from this place, I should have stayed with my go-to place, Lee’s Stir Fry in Columbia, but since I was at the Big Y in Mansfield, I decided to give China East a try. I truly regret doing so.

Payed cash change was thrown at me and I still left a tip for pick up. Ordered lobster fried shrimp… order it I dare you… drfinetly don’t. It looked like squid fish bait out of the freezer and had 1 piece of hard meat. Its went downhill, i used to like the place. Even the young lady was rude, but especially the older one, she literally tgrew the money at me . The Chinese restaurant near Walmart is way better

Decent food but the rudest customer service ever! I got a 60.00 order of takeout, asked for chopsticks and the lady actually threw them in the box. I will never go there again

Order chicken and bean curd when we got the food home we opened the container and the smell was awful the tofu had spoiled luckily he didn’t eat any of it, but we called to tell them and they didn’t care at all. This place used to be good but has gone really down hill

I’ve ordered from here a number of times in the last year. No matter what time I call or how much I order, they always say “ready in 10 minutes,” which is amazing. It’s barely enough time to hop in the car and drive there! Consistently, the food has been good and the prices are affordable. Overall I think it’s reliable and for good value. I’ve tried a variety of menu items and have enjoyed them all. The one that stands out the most is ma po tofu. I’ve never had any issues with surprise pricing when using a credit card, as noted by others. I pay over the phone and they charge me the menu price of the items. Only good things to say about china East.

I’m not one to write a bad review. I usually just let things go! My boyfriend and I ordered dinner their last night, thought the price was fantastic for what we bought. I took one bite out of my egg roll and loved it! Continued eating, chicken and vegetables, and I find a fly/bug deep into the chicken! At first I thought “that’s gross” and thought maybe a random fly from outside go into it. (I know crazy) I continue eating and in my second egg roll there was ANOTHER FLY. Needless to say the rest of the dinner was thrown out, filled our bellies with cereal! I will not be going back, and do not recommmend!

I been going here a long time. I considered it best in town for a long time. The owner, wife and daughter are super nice. The reason I give 3 stars and haven’t gone here much is cause of new years eve 2021. I know of there french frie secret, I heard the story kinda funny one. Anyway, I ordered in evening for take out. Came to $60.01 usually it’s cheaper like $40 but it was new years. I had asked for 5 soy sauce packets the dark colored sauce for my 3 egg rolls and 2 shrimp rolls. Well, spare ribs tasted burnt bad. They gave me no soy sauce at all and my 2 egg rolls were not given in the stapled brown bag! The menu was stapled onto bag and had a slash on menu with 2 next to shrimp rolls but they weren’t in bag. I still think of this and it’s now March 2022.
