We ate here two evenings in a row when in the area recently. Fantastic waitress service on both days. Delicious food in big portions. On the first visit, we accidentally got charged for 3 ice teas instead of 1, but they fixed it at checkout with no issues.

This place is not as nice as the ones down south. I expected good food and good service for the 45min wait to get seated then the 30min wait for our food. Our server rarely came to the table so we never got refills on water or juice during our meal. I think she only had 2 tables of parties of 6 people. She seemed to struggle to handle 2 tables while I saw other servers provide better service pass our table and keep their 4 – 5 tables of 2 – 4 people in their party happy. We didnt order anything outlandish, just eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits, mac & cheese, meat loaf, chicken and some pancakes for our table along with 2 alcohol drinks. Sad but the best part of my breakfast meal was the mimosa. One person in my party of 6 had to send back their chicken because it was almost burnt and then the sides were cold. We believe the server just never brought out the food when it was done because several items were cold, but the rest of us were hungry so we just ate what we could. Others just took their food to go so they could warm it up properly at home. I am not sure but her mind was completely else where or gone because she seemed out of it. We watched other tables of 4 people being served by different servers have their food come out and they finish their meal and leave before us even though we were seated before them. We still tipped the minimum amount since we dont believe anyone would be tipping her for the rest of the day, plus we wont be returning or recommending this location. I like Cracker Barrel but with the service and the food being less than fair, I would not return. This review is more of a reminder to myself to not return to this location and only consider the ones down south.

The service here was good but slower than most restaurants. Kind of like there was a lack of help. The gift shop had a lot of gummy food candy. Didn’t buy any because it didn’t look appetizing.

A visit to the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, I recently made, and most satisfied I was with my experience. The victuals were of excellent quality, in particular, the bacon and hash brown casserole, Mama’s breakfast, and Mama’s pancake breakfast. The staff were friendly and kind, adding to the overall enjoyment of my meal.

This is a great inexpensive place to go and they have a little Boutique that you can shop around in and I would be lying if I said that I didn’t want to buy something from that store every time I went into it! This is the perfect place to take the little ones and it is friendly and from the drinks to desserts to the entrees everything is great. There’s plenty of things to look at on the walls and plenty of memorabilia. It’s a nice authentic place to come for good food and good atmosphere with low prices and cool souvenirs.

Any emergency at a restaurant can occur at any time but the important thing is when it does occur. How does management handle it and how does this staff handle it? This was my experience of today’s review. My family and I arrived at this Cracker Barrel anticipating a good meal when we were informed by Christopher the manager that the fryer had broken down earlier, listening to him talk to another customer he was not able to get a mechanic to come in to repair it. so what was available on the menu that we could order if a fryer was not available. Usually I believe the two fryers are in a workspace one for a higher temperature and the other for a lower temperature frying so maybe it was just one of two, but it was only one OK that’s a problem. I ordered the I ordered the pepper, lemon, rainbow trout, my wife ordered the cheese sandwich grilled cheese sandwich my daughter ordered a salad with grilled chicken and my son-in-law ordered something but I forgot what it was. My fault it took about an hour after we placed the order to get our food now, as I brought it to the intention of Christopher the manager, he carefully explain to me the situation in the kitchen how food is determined to be cooked what time and what order and so on and it was a very acceptable explanation because I have already worked in the restaurant, so I know things like this can happen. Sophia, our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. She was so kind to make sure things for we’re ready for us she brought the food out of silhouette was available, which was quite a bit of time, but it was neither Sophia or Christopher‘s fault for this problem. I do not fault either for what happened. It’s just that the time for the cooks to do what they were doing, and the place was busy tonight that I can understand a delay an hour on that was pretty well stretching it but when I went to talk to Christopher about it, Sophia had the food on hand and my family agreed that the food was delicious. so there is no negative review should be considered with what I’m saying right now. It just happened to be one of those nights when something like this happened to the fryer. So I continue to appreciate this place. I’ve been coming here for decades I am a local I am a one of the original customers to be here at this particular store and I’ve been through many managers and many waitresses and I still love you. I still love coming to the brighton Cracker Barrel. I gave it four out of five because of the long delay of getting the food but other than that it was spot on. Thank you Sophia and especially Christopher for being great employees for Cracker Barrel. I want to emphasize that the cook tonight did a fantastic job on what they had to work with. I’m very grateful for the tasty meal.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch here prior to catching a flight from DTW. They’ve got an extensive menu so it’s hard to choose a favourite! Ordered the fried chicken sandwich, subbing the bun for sourdough bread. It was delicious! Upgraded to a house salad as our side dish, as really enjoy their honey mustard dressing. And was the perfect accompaniment. We also enjoyed browsing their gift shop as they have so many unique items, it’s a great place to find gifts for any occasion!
