What a great find. Luke was our server. He had tables inside and outside the restaurant including the bar area. He was attentive and fantastic. The sushi chefs were amazing as they continuously worked patiently and gracefully without skipping a beat throughout the evening. The sushi was delicious and the sake we ordered, Brooklyn Kura paired so elegantly with every dish.

Food: 8.5/10. For $45 (the Temaki set platter), you get a platter of rice, nori, pieces of sashimi for hand rolls, miso soup, and soy sauce/ginger/wasabi. Amazing, fresh fish for $45, and the whole eating experience is so interactive. You can definitely feed 2 with the $45 set if you aren’t big eaters. The sushi rice was amazing!

The handroll sets are delicious and served fresh course by course! I walk by this spot in my neighborhood almost every day and didn’t even realize it was a restaurant because you can’t really see inside from the street. But I’m glad I stumbled upon it because the food was fantastic! Will definitely be coming back

Amazing sushi, in an average setting. Walking up to the space, couldn’t tell if it was open; but to be expected in the LES sometimes. Inside was tastefully designed. Sat at the sushi bar and was able to see them preparing our meal. Started with a great sake and the tuna pizza, which was delicious with the Truffle drizzle. The Tamaki platter was excellent with a do it yourself type of kit. Sushi rice, nori, and 9 types of fish to enjoy whatever way you like. Sushi was fresh and of the highest caliber.

The omakase is very good and so are their hand rolls. It does get super crowded and service was okay. I had a reservation and they ended up just seating us at the bar which is fine but there just was a lack of communication/they kind of treated us like we didn’t have a reservation. I wouldn’t have minded if it wasn’t for a friend’s birthday dinner. Other than that, for the price it’s a solid omakase spot to check out.

Wow what a dining experience! Great place we came upon for lunch. This little restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining with a very calming and modern interior eastern design. The food was delightful and presentation was great. Service was excellent. Time flew as we enjoyed our hand rolls being served. Your food does not come out all at once but instead served one course at a time. The ingredients were fresh and delicious and the hot matcha green tea hit the spot. You won’t regret eating here!

Good dining experience and most of all delicious sushi! Really enjoyed sitting on the bar and watching the staff making the sushi rolls. Probably one of my favorite sushi places and this is perfect for enjoying the fish instead of other places drown it in sauce. Friendly staff as well!

Friend and I came in for dinner, we had the crispy rice tuna (recommend it was so good), hand roll set Douzo and hand roll set Sasa. Really good crab and shrimp tempura hand rolls, the other rolls were just good. Service and atmosphere is really good. We had Douska to try a different hand roll restaurant apart from Kazunori but Douska’s handrolls aren’t better.

Really wanted to like this place but ended up disappointed in everything. My friend and I were wavering between omakase and the hand rolls and decided to opt for the latter. The nori was not properly stored because it was incredibly hard to eat any of our hand rolls neatly due to the soggy seaweed. I ended up having to use chopsticks to pick up the rice and toppings that fell out of each “roll”.
