Amazing food & friendly staff. Tobi was our waiter & she is just amazing. There were two female waiters there tonight & both of them were very attentive to the guests & their tables. If you haven’t been to Monte’s Byram location ever or in awhile then I think you should give it a try. This is the place we frequent every year for our anniversary & occasionally go just for a date night.

I would highly recommend the food here! I had stuffed shrimp and a seafood bisque that were both delightful. My wife had a simple pasta Alfredo that was also very good, and our kids had typical kids’ meals, but there were more options for them than normal, which was great! We had a very attentive waitress who took great care of us. It was a wonderful experience and we’ll eat here again!

Excellent service along with excellent food. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was delicious. They also have a great selection of adult beverages to choose from! I’d highly recommended stopping in if you’re looking for a first class meal.

The catfish was raw and the waitress was VERY RUDE and told me I had to pay for something I didn’t eat because it was soft and raw I wouldn’t eat here if I was you it’s very disgusting

I am at a loss from the reviews that are being given. The lady that assisted us was a nice lady, but you can tell that there are fake reviews based off the number of people sitting in the restaurant(which was just my fiancé and I). It was so bad I was expecting Gordon Ramsey to pop for an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The paper mat on our table had dried food from last weeks customer. The cups were dingy dirty like the dishwasher didn’t know how to rinse. But the food is what confused me. A handful of browning lettuce with a ranch that has more salt than the dead sea. The whole flounder was so salty and sour. The crab flavored stuffing was no added bonus. The pasta was dropped straight on the plate with no time to drain from it being boiled. The sauce on the pasta was the least saltest item on my plate, so maybe thank you for not draining it first?? I can’t say we got bad service from the waitress. She was knowledgeable about her menu! It’s just sad to see that her knowledge of the food isn’t shown in the taste!

The baked salmon was horrible. It had a sour smell and taste. The shrimp etoufee was very bland. The house garden salad was a small pile of only large limp lettuce with very salty ranch dressing. Will not go back. Nor would I recommend.

FRESH made Bernaise for Filet Mignon! everything was delicious! travelling to Mississippi for work, wanted to treat myself, did I say wow? Wish I didn’t have to give a star. First let’s talk about lightning, dark outside and inside. Place was empty except one other couple . Table setting white paper on top of actual table cloth . Photo of it showing they might aswell take them off. Gross! Food was disappointing. High priced fried food. Fried chicken breast ( actually chicken tenders) think goodness I’m not allergic to seafood , I’m pretty sure the fish , chicken , shrimp and crawfish is all fried together. Menu is small ( meaning not many choices). All and all save your money and go to a real steak house . Good thing we decided place looked dated to try the steak at those prices. Glad we did. Just wish we kept driving and picked somewhere else!

Monte’s staff stole from my husband and I at the Byram location. Back in December we went to Monte’s in Byram for a Christmas work dinner. There was only one other party in the restaurant the entire time we were there. We waited over an hour (almost 2) for our food. Some people in our party decided to leave before our food even came out. When the food did come out it was cold and almost inedible. My husband’s boss picked up the tab for our food and responsible for tipping our waitress. We were only responsible for our alcoholic beverages. We did order a couple of drinks while we were there so our tab was about $20. We paid our tab and left. The next day my husband got a notification on his credit card for $30. The waitress added a $10 tip after we left. My husband called and spoke to Monte and he admitted this is what happened. He offered to make it right and send us a gift card for a dinner for 2 at the Brandon location. Now 2 months later we never heard back from Monte or received anything. I would be careful if you decide to dine at Monte’s.

Can’t say I ate here. It was a huge contradiction to me. Looks like they want to be a high end place, but then paper tablecloths and cheap photocopied menu with high prices. I wasn’t going to pay $50-70 a plate when the rest of it was not what I expected. Wasn’t worth the risk to me. Should have caught on when they only had one customer vehicle in the parking lot for dinner on a Saturday evening.
