We came in for a quick weekday lunch with a friend. Three adults total plus a three year old. Lovely place to eat! And the food was excellent. Pictures: Grilled cheese with mushroom and barley soup of the day; salad with crab cake; kid’s pancake order with sausage.

We sat outside, it was nice. Parking area is small, terrible. Food was impeccable, so delicious and unique. I ordered the hay and straw, which was fresh pasta w mushrooms. And my husband ordered the chicken francese. The pasta was insane, full of such tasty mushrooms, all cooked to perfection. The chicken francese was a little too delicately treated for the comfort food dish that it is. But I think I’ve found a new local favorite. Our server was so friendly and kind and attentive.

DESF NOVEMBER
Okay the only reason I had to slip the service down to a three instead of a five is that your first greeted by these bus men or women who seem rather emotional and maybe even emotionally unstable. The woman who is about middle age who gave us water and bread just could not manage to smile no matter what we said or did. She looked like her dog just got put to sleep that morning and truly should not have come to work with that demeanor. The waitress was fabulous and her kids and husband came in which was really delightful as well:-) but when we mentioned the demeanor of the bussing woman as being rather dry and almost uncomfortable she had nothing encouraging to say to us, and perhaps even seem to judge our comment quite a bit. The busboy, who was actually a bus man because he was probably in his 40s, was very friendly at first but somehow took on the demeanor of the other individual who was grumpy and the next two interactions we had with him he seemed to join her ranks. It just made for a very wonky feeling evening when we really wanted to enjoy it so much. Food was good and atmosphere is quite nice.

Honestly I’ve always wanted to try this place out while going to the psyche center (I’ve been in every building top to bottom) and never did until today. Met my friend after she got her hair done a few stores away from this location and met her on the street. WAS greeted around back for the outdoor dining quickly and told to grab whatever table we wanted so we chose a 4 person table close to the street as there were only 2 table occupied out of a dozen, quiet Tuesday afternoon. My drinks and food were great and so were my friends. Honestly I usually walk away with a $300 bill for this kind of service in bay shore and walked away with a $93 bill my friend whipped out her debit card for so I left a $30 tip. At $130 total I can tell you right now I’ve spent a lot more in the past weeks/years ect on what this place offers and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks guys.

Great experience. Good food, drink, service and atmosphere. Don’t expect a table on weekends without a reservation. Something for everyone on the menu. Enjoyed craft cocktails Down by the Dock and Cucumber Martini. Pork Shank Osso Bucco & Veal Siena were very good. Looking forward to going back to try duck, fish or a pasta dish. Rumor has it their chickens are homegrown exclusively for them and their restaurant cousins. A Must try

I have been to Cafe Red in Huntington a number of times and always been very happy with the food and service. I went to the Kings Park location and my dinner was below average and something I could have made better at home. I would not expect to pay these prices for this level of food quality.

Excellent! The Cuban sandwich was the best along with the rice ball appetizer. Their menu has some great selections that are different than most.The service was outstanding and friendly and the restaurant was extremely clean with all precautions taken!
