The food was delicious. We got the lobster mac and a burger, both of which were good. The server was really nice and even apologized for some impatient and rude customers that couldn’t wait for a few minutes to get their drinks. It’s a really nice atmosphere, just have some patience as they can be busy at times, as all restaurants are!

Loved everything about it. Servers were very attentive and welcoming. The food was outstanding and I have to admit surprisingly so. Just didn’t expect that level of quality. We had the creamed spinach, large wedge salad, and caprese appetizer. Highly recommend.

Well, I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the reviews. When we arrived Sunday late evening, it was fairly busy with a wait.Latonya, (hope i got her name correct) saw a large table with 2 people at it. She asked if we were willing to share the table with the guests already seated there, we agreed and she asked those folks if would share a table with us. They graciously agreed and we were seated. Soon Blair, our waiter, arrived and we placed our food and drink order together as we wanted to get back on the road quickly. The food was very good, we shared the ultimate Wedge Salad, subbed feta for the gorganzola, and salty cheese burger. I asked for bacon jam on the side, but found it to be very sweet. The other staff was hustling as well. I over heard one of the other waiters kindly thank the guests and wished them well on their travels. I’m happy to report we had a good experience. I am a bit picky. So this is a good review for sure. Great job Latonya & Blair and kitchen staff.

Food is amazing and ambience too. Location is in hard core downtown. Very reasonable price and even its pricy for few menu options, still it’s worth for the quantity of food.

Mario was a fantastic server! He was very courteous and made the effort to double check everything that we ordered was correct. We had just drove through a huge storm and needed good food ASAP. Salty Steer and their staff delivered! If we ever find ourselves in Wall again, we will be back!

Good burgers. The fries are a cross between a steak fry and a chip…very good. Service, however, was not very good. The restaurant was not very busy, but we had to ask for refills on our drinks after trying to flag down our waitress, as she kept disappearing for long periods if time. I asked for mayonnaise once my burger came and my waitress forgot all about the mayonnaise. I didn’t see her again to remind her about it until I was halfway done with my burger. She did apologize, though. She was not very attentive.

We were greeted by a very kind smiling gentleman who showed us straight to a very nice table in the back corner. The atmosphere in the restaurant was bright and cozy . The place was busy but seemed to have customers drinks appetizers and meals in a timely manner. The waitress came and asked for our drink order which we had complimentary drink coupons from our motel which we presented at the time of order. I asked for a small glass of clamato juice and Michelob Lt and my husband requested the same. The waitress came back with our drinks and again I presented the coupons only to receive attitude with the eye roll three times as though we were inconveniencing her. At that point as she turned to walk away she said sharply I can only take 1 coupon. It clearly states on coupon 1 coupon and 1 drink per person. We sat and waited for her to come back to take our food orders. When I ordered the steak salad I requested plain oil and vinegar dressing and for the steak to be medium rare. My husband ordered buffalo meat loaf and an appetizer of I believe they were called steer fries. At this point I was done with the eye rolls and the sass over me asking for oil and vinegar and out right told the waitress she had a bad attitude but was not rude or demeaning toward her .The waitress delivered the steer fries knowing we were sharing the appetizer brought no extra plate and worse left us there for 10 min with no utensils or napkins. We overlooked it and ate the cheese smothered fries with our fingers trying to make the best of it. Soon after getting through the messy appetizer our main course was delivered to the table and with yet more eye rolls after me asking could we plz get napkins and utensils she went to retrieve some for us. I took 1 bite of my salad once again trying to look past my request of plain oil and vinegar being ignore and was disgusted by the bite. Literally I was eating arugula that had not been washed the grit of dirt was in my mouth. At that point my husband said it’s enough we are going not taking 1 bite of his meat loaf as he said I’m not eating in front of you it’s rude. I went spoke to nice door gentleman and explained offered to pay for appetizer and our drinks all while our waitress was listening to our complaints which again I received eye rolls. Like it or not my husband is Native American and unfortunately he gets this treatment as do I when out with him as this waitress treated us tonight all the time in Canada where we are from but it’s a first for me to stand up and call it out in the USA. Racism is real folks but Native American people have lived with it far longer here in North America than anyone and it is time it stopped. I’m not blaming the establishment for this waitress attitude but they do need to deal with it promptly.

The atmosphere was great, the food was even better. We came back a second night for the buffalo brussel sprouts. I really enjoyed the salty steer burger, the steak fries, and the beer selection too. The staff were lovely. Great location across the street from Wall Drug. Definitely a very enjoyable restaurant!
