Shared a wonderful dinner with my husband here on their first night open to the public. Excellent offering of wine by the glass and bottle, thoughtful cocktails, and an A+ menu. In addition to excellent food, we enjoyed the warm and attentive service paired with a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend for a night out.

We were warmly greeted and cared for throughout our culinary journey. Our server was helpful, friendly, and attentive. It was her 2nd day, and she made sure everything was to our liking. The mocktail was a bit too tart, so she happily had it made sweeter (perfect), the martini tasted of raspberry and pineapple and summer, and the porter was rich and smooth. We had the spare ribs – each ingredient was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. We didn’t really care for the ice cream tarts, although the lemon curd was nicely tangy. The chocolate dessert was decadent and delicious. We were celebrating a special occasion and are so glad we tried this delightful new restaurant!

Everything was just perfect I really liked the sauce served with the monkfish and chickpeas and what to say about the quality of the seafood everything is fresh and amazing. I will come back next time I’m in Bar Harbor. This is one of the best restaurants in Bar Harbor.

We stumbled upon this new restaurant just 3 days after their opening. The menu offers traditional French dining with unique local twists of Maine. The steak frites was so good and the duck was so tender, but we were over the moon with the profiteroles. The wine list is extensive – 15 pages of wine across all different budgets. A must try spot in Bar Harbor!

We had the pleasure of being the very first customers! Everything on the menu sounded so delicious that it was hard to decide. I began with a French Martini that was sexy and delicious, made with pineapple juice and Chambord,. Our food journey began with our appetizers. I had Asparagus Soubric, an asparagus custard, moroccan carrot puree, pea and sunflower shoot salad with candied walnuts. Rae had the Escargot which came out in a cute little bowl with puff pastry on the top. For my entree I had to have the Short Rib Bourguignon and Julia Child would have been proud. The meat was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth, and the vegetables were al dente perfect. Rae had the Monkfish with Japanese turnip and kohlrabi slaw, Maine grains farro, potato chips, caviar Vichysoisse. It was also amazing and of course I had a bite! Now of course being in a French restaurant, I just had to have the Crème Brulee for dessert. A butterscotch Crème Brulee with candied nuts on top and the brittle sugar crust that cracked like a car windshield when I tested it with my spoon; you know I had to do it. It was the creamiest, smoothest I have ever had. Rae had the bittersweet chocolate Crémeux Tart with roasted cherries, toasted meringue crisps and whipped crème fraiche which also was out of this world.

This is not the typical type of resteraunt I go to but the head chef Zach has such a great reputation my wife and I had to give it a shot. It did not disappoint! We got the Smoked Salmon on Crostini app, Tuna Tartare, and the oysters to start. All were excellent. I only had a few bites of the smoked Salmon app because i don’t like egg but my wife loved it. The sauces for the oysters were fire! For entree’s we got the Duck and the Monk Fish. These are items we would not normally order but trusting Zachs palate we went off the beaten path. The intention was to share and the Duck was very good, cooked perfectly, but I was entranced by the Monk fish. The fish itself was very good, cooked perfectly, but it is served with these Chick Peas and I can not say enough about the chicken peas. I know that probably sounds wierd but oh my word what a delishish dish! I wish I had words to describe it but please, take my word, you’ve got to try it. 10/10 recommend

Hey Michael – I loved your Havana restaurant and i’m so happy to see that you’ve opened a second restaurant in Bar Harbor. A French restaurant makes so much sense, given your extensive wine menu, with a plethora of choices of wine from France. You are only about 3-4 weeks into LeBrun’s inception and I know you are working hard to “iron out” some of the quirks. Whilst the ambiance was on point, I feel like you’d appreciate some of the areas I think could use improvement. 1) we ordered the roasted beat salad. No side plates to share were provided, but the biggest turn off was the “cheap” Italian glass salad plate the roast beat salad was plated on. 2) The hanger steak frites was ordered medium but was beyond well-done. 3) The duck Cassoulet – duck overcooked and beans whilst super tasty, were too salty. Hold any extra salt, as the crumbled bacon breadcrumb mixture is salty enough. All and all, I’m glad to have dined here and very happy to see another great restaurant on the island. I am beyond impressed by your wine selection and your commitment to half bottles and magnums . Please check out a few more dry reislings from the NY finger Lake regions, specifically Weis, and Forge. They will pair well with the food in both you restaurants
